I like the story line and was entertaining all through the film.I recommend this film if you like warm content.

John Travolta is a 5 Star actor and this (a bit older) movie is proof of that!

It's an older movie that I never watched. A friend told me about it.Not going to give a review that gives away any details. Just watch it if you haven't

just wanted to watch it but bought it by accident. It was ok. Wasn't my favorite movie.

This 1995 wonderful story about the common guy George Malley, portrayed by John Travolta, who suddenly gains extraordinary powers and knowledge, also talks about reactions of people around him. It is quite elaborately telling us how we could react to someone with such abilities and what we would want from him (or her). It really does not matter whether such abilities are given or earned. The spectrum of such reactions in the movie goes from disbeliefs, doubts, admirations, toward jealousy, sorrow, ignorance and hate. Like how it goes in a real life. And what he wants? He is looking for love to share and spread it around with his knowledge and compassion. He does not want anything from anybody and that is why he is free never mind what. Yet he still understands that love needs to be earned and deserved. Then he can ask Lace, played by Kyra Sedgwick, in the most beautiful line (for me) in the movie: "Will you love me for the rest of my life?" And she answers: "No. I will love you for the rest of my life!"I can deeply relate to his explanation why telekinesis and other mind over the matter powers are possible. During the intensive metaphysical workshop years back I bent my first spoon because I used the same approach like George in the movie. I asked the spoon for permission, partnership and friendship. Like young Czech poet Jiri Wolker wrote more than 100 years ago: "I love things. They are quiet and sad because we do not talk to them. They are shy, they wait for us to start to talk." Then I ecstatically was bending the spoons all day long, until it became boring and I could concentrate on the real goals why I came to such a workshop. But that is another story. Watch out this great movie, it can inspire you to try something like George or myself as well.

Phenomenon is a beautifully, well done, feel good movie. Yes, it has a sad ending, but there's an enchanting element to it that makes it beautiful just the same. All the main characters are persons you would want to know. It makes me want to live in a small town myself, it's too bad that reality isn't always as nice.This movie in Blu-ray is a bit hard to find. With movies being offered in a streaming formate becoming more increasingly excepted, I want to collect all my favorites before they no longer able to be found. There's not any bells and whistles that make this Blu-ray a must have outside of me just wanting to have my favorites in a formate that I feel most comfortable using, but there are no negative remarks to be made either.Ordering through Amazon has been a hit or miss for me. This transaction was a definite"hit." Blu-ray was everything stated. Was well packaged for shipping. Arrived in a timely manner, safe, secure and without incident.
