Gingbau Humane Rat Trap Live Mouse Cage Trap (Medium)

I bought two of these traps as we knew we had a bit of a rat problem but wanted a humane solution. They are very easy to set up, there's instructions included. They aren't quite so easy to clean but that really isn't a problem.I have caught 3 rats so far and am delighted! The rats are humanely and securely detained in the trap - a lock comes down once the door closes so that the rat can't escape.Also caught a robin by accident once, but as the trap doesn't harm the animal, the robin had simply eaten the peanut butter bait and then flew straight off unharmed when I opened the door! Would highly recommend these traps.

Product is a bit flimsy and I didn't think it would hold any trapped rats but I was very much mistaken. I have had great results with this trap and will probably buy more, as I live in a beautiful location with fields and livestock all around rats are a problem but this little trap is doing its business and we will get on top of the problem.

I spotted a mouse strolling in my garden few nights before and I needed a trap. I didn't want to kill it if possible so I decided to go with this cage.The mechanism is simple and the instructions helped me to understand easily and immediately how it to works and how to make it work. I appreciated also the advices.I checked that the mechanism was working before put the cage in place e how quickly it could react. It seemed working very well.My first impressions were definitely confirmed just a couple of hours later when I heard the mechanism shutting the door. The mouse was there with no chance to escape.With attention I then put the cage in a bag and brought the little guy in a park.Great job. Totally reccomend.

Nothing wrong with the trap other than the rat was too smart to get caught in it. Sturdy enough and springs shut effectively, if only the rat had not been so bright!

I ordered this trap when I started finding evidence of mice in our loft. Set it up when it arrived and caught my first mouse that night. It was totally unharmed and I was able to easily release it in a good mouse-friendly location.It's nice and easy to use, it's a shame there's no handle so it's worth being careful especially if you catch something bigger or more bitey.

I bought this based on the rave reviews but this proved to be a waste of time and money for me. I've caught (and let go again) loads of mice but no rats.Interesting to note that one 5 star reviewer raves about this trap in 2019 but has had zero results with it.Also interesting that one 5 star reviewer claims to have caught a squirrel in it - mine doesn't look anywhere near big enough to hold a squirrel.I simply don't believe this trap is big enough to catch large rats.Disappointed and now wish I'd listened to the negative reviews.Catches mice well - but I bought it because of the description claiming rats could be caught in it.

Bought this to try and catch a rat. Not very successful at all rat won't go near it after weeks of trying.

Worked wonders to catch some unwelcome temporary visitors from our garden. Easy to set up (we used peanut butter), and the door is secure once the animal is trapped (in our case we were catching rats, but caught a squirrel and a robin accidentally too which we released ASAP of course). You can then easily relocate them. We drove them to a nearby canal side. The trap is not needed now as the rats were caught within the first week, but good to have in the shed in case another lot decide to take residence in our garden.
