Hey, it's a great pen
I'm surprised at how much I really love this little pen. I was annoyed with the shelf pens at the store. For one, I prefer a thinner pen over a thicker one, and two, I hate how all the pens have the huge rubber grips. While the grips aren't uncomfortable, they cause allot of problems with pen holders in notebooks etc... makes the holders rather useless. This is the perfect size. The stainless steel pen is simple, elegant, and tough-which may be the most important part. This pen has been wonderful to use. While the ink cartridge that came with this pen was great and writes extremely smoothly and evenly, I replaced with the PARKER QUINK Ballpoint Pen Gel Ink Refills and am SUPER happy with it. I just prefer gel ink. As a side note: the gel ink drys extremely fast. I haven't had one smudge, and my hands run back all over what I write pretty rapidly. Yet not one smudge. Finally a pen that's simple, writes well, and is sturdy enough to deal with me beating it up all day. Totally worth the price in my book. Once I have a favorite pen, I tend to keep them around until they finally kick the bucket. This will last through many ink refills.

Buy three, save on the shipping, give two away to friends
At $8.35 it is hard to go wrong. I like this pen very much because of the push top that makes the pen quick to write and put back in the shirt pocket. It compares close to the much more expensive Parker Sonnet, which I also own. The Sonnet is only slightly heavier, longer, and thinner. My hands are big with long fingers and this little pen feels better than the skinny Sonnet. Writing with the Jotter is just about the same as the Sonnet, although the Sonnet ink seems to flow smoother and the inck is slightly darker. The Sonnet has the hydro twist motion that is fancy but slower to get into action. Not sure how long the Jotter will last, but it makes a nice inexpensive gift that will elevate the ego for anybody lucky to get one free. The Jotter is sleek and beats the heck out of any BIC ball point I've ever used all while looking good in the pocket. You don't have to look cheap even if you pinch your pennies. This is the pen I carry and will not panic if it gets lost. The Sonnet stays on my desk in the penholder. Get three of these Jotters because you just can't go wrong. For the less sophisticated and tightwads out there I would go for the Pilot G-2 07 that you can buy by the dozen. Something your mother-in-law might appreciate...

Classic design, durable, comfortable
This is a great pen, the Parker ink is smooth and it is very comfortable in the hand, not too thin, not too rotund. Not only is it smooth writing it is very durable. I purchased a second pen to keep at work, After dropping the pen on the concrete several times there was no damage at all. There is just something about holding this sleekly designed classic. The positives; All metal exteriorSleek brushed finishSmooth writingComfortable in the handDurableRefillableEconomicalThe negatives;Well there are none.

Like Father, Like Son
My Dad carried this pen for his 30 years of being head of security at an auto auction. It wasn't until I started carrying one of his old ones that I found out why. This is a workhorse of a pen. From his breast pocket to mine, from mine to my back pocket of my pants, to a backpack, this pen seems to be indestructible. Until it fell out of my breast pocket one day. So I guess keeping it clipped to your back pocket bends the clip out a bit once you sit on it too many times, and it finally slipped out and I broke the plastic threads that held it together when it hit the floor. So I bought a replacement and figured out how to fix the old one and I'm still using it to this day. The clip bent back no problem. Another added bonus, the ink cartridges have return info and if you mail in a spent cartridge plus something like $7 US, they mail you back a new cartridge. It's nice having that written on the cartridge itself, since you can't really lose it. But if my father using the pen for 30 years on the job and another 10 or so off the job, and me using it for several years before finally abusing it to the breaking point isn't a testament to the quality of this pen, I don't know what is.
