An alternative to the Rooster
Huy Fong (Rooster) brand Sriracha has been my favorite hot sauce for a long time. When I heard about a new green Sriracha that could compete with it I had to try it. I'm halfway through the bottle and I'll say it's pretty good. It has more flavor than the red with hints of vinegar and citrus. By comparison I always thought the rooster tasted fruity. It also has more heat. I can probably swallow a spoon full of the red but the green lit me up when I ate a big dollop of it. The only minor gripe I have with it is the dispenser lid which makes it hard to evenly distribute the sauce. I prefer the low flow and accuracy of the rooster bottle.Well its a fine product and hot sauces seem to be a personal preference kind of thing so I wont tell people to rush out and buy it. I think I'll continue to enjoy my bottle till it's gone and then I'll probably get more of the rooster.

Just Okay. Nothing Beats Huy Fong!
I'm not going to go into a lot of detail. I am a long-time fan of Huy Fong Sriracha. I've tried a dozen other brands, and some come close while others can't hold a candle to "the original". This green version really piqued my curiosity so I spent three times as much as I'm accustomed to paying for a bottle of my hot sauce to try it out. It's not without it's charm and the heat is decent, albeit inconsistent. If the price were more comparable to Huy Fong, I might pick it up once in a while to switch it up, but at over three times the price for a bottle of Huy Fong, this will likely be my first and last purchase of Midori Sriracha.

so you know it's going to have a blend of heat and sweet. It's quite tasty and won't overpower your food
Well it's sriracha, so you know it's going to have a blend of heat and sweet. It's quite tasty and won't overpower your food. It doesn't overdo the sweetness either, favoring instead to bring the actual flavor of the green serrano to the surface. The green coloration does make it a little more aesthetically difficult to integrate into meals, since it very quickly discolors a dish. I'm sorry but green beef stew just doesn't look right. It is excellent on sandwiches and burgers though. The consistency is also thick enough that it can be used directly as a chip dip.

Garlicky and hot
If you like Shark brand Sriracha, you will probably like this even more. It's pretty spicy and garlicky. I like it better than the Huy Fong brand. Good overall sauce to add to many foods. As far as spicy Japanese condiments go, I prefer Yuzu Kosho, but this is nice too and can be used to spice up mashed potatoes, congee, and other creamy foods.

A little bit sweet
This is very tasty with less garlic than Rooster Sriracha, heat 2 on a scale of ten (10 being Carolina Reaper).I would prefer it without the sugar. Will try it on my barley bean vegan soup tonight.

Not traditional Sriracha, not Tabasco
I like all kinds of hot sauce and now I really like this. Ingredient list has good ingredients. The original red Sriracha I've been using for years (since I saw on Bobby Flay) is different and great. That company also produces a mayo version which I just bought and will be trying soon. Looks like a winner from ingredients.

Last place amongst all my hot sauces.
OK, I'm a very big hot sauce fan and I know everyone has different taste, but of the 3 dozen hot sauces I have at home this is my least favorite one. I do love the original Sriracha. This one taste nothing like it. I heard about this one reading an article saying it was one of the best hot sauces out there. It is not. Now I know why you can't find it in many stores, most people won't be repeat buyers. Two tumbs down here.

green sriracha
Spicier than it's red predecessor, and has a really nice flavor all it's own. Love having it in my hot sauce arsenal. Downside is it needs to be refrigerated after opening, but that's a small price to pay for this bold new delicious flavor.
