Less fishy than sardines, and totally edible right from the tin. I really like these! Problem is I like to eat them on their own, so I go through tins pretty quickly and that adds up fast. Always nice to see a canned fish option that isn't intensely fishy and yet uses only water and not oil or seasoning.

Both the fish and the smokey flavor are great. Much more enjoyable than plain canned sardines and not much more expensive. I'll keep buying them.

I fancy m'self a herring aficionado. These really taste great! They're a bit too salty for us folks watching our blood pressure so I rinse my pieces off under running water first - they still taste fine.

For Kippers I like them they have in my opinion have a good taste are not all broken up in process and out in a slight oil which I sip out after I eat the kippers. Buy again..
