Incredibly easy firestarter
For years I used balled-up newspaper to light my coals in a chimney, but the ash flying everywhere became a problem with the local breezes and it often required additional balls added while biting to keep it going long enough to light the coals. It then took a good 10 minutes until the coals were ready to pour.I was skeptical about these at first, I thought they were small, maybe not big enough to reach the coals in the chimney and that one wouldn’t be enough. So my first try, I used two of these little wood nests. They lit up immediately and created a nice little burn that lasted more than 5 minutes. Almost all the coals were burning red-hot at 5 minutes, more than I’ve ever seen. Poured them out and were ready instantly for grilling. The only thing was I wasn’t ready with the meats and timing is everything for the coals. The next two times I only used only one wood nest and it worked out great. The coals reach peak grilling faster than with newspaper, so I still need to be ready with the meats faster. Seems to be a cleaner burn than with newspaper with zero flying ash or residue. I plan to try it out in my outdoor wood fire pit next. This is my new go-to from now on.

They burn great!
Bought these to help.with lighting my gravity feed smoker. They light super easy and burn for a good bit of time. Perfect really. Have used them to light my offset smoker a fee times too. Even when completely covered they burn very well. No lingering orders or taste lf fuel either.

Very effective
No fumes. Does what it promises.

effective, but fragile
concept is great - natural, easy to catch fire with one match, works great with dry kindling. However transit to our house via package meant that quite a few crumbled and thus not easy to use all of the firestarters

Great charcoal starters
i use them with regular charcoal for my Weber 18" grill. I place on starter in the bottom of my charcoal chimney and load it up with briquettes. 30 to 40+ depending on how much grilling I have to do. I light the Fire Starter through the holes in the chimney bottom and wait for the charcoal on top to show white ash. Dump it in the grill and preheat for 15 min. and start grilling! There is some initial smoke but no where near as much if I had used lighter fluid or match light charcoal. No noticeable taste from Fire starters, Just smoky goodness,

Rad little fire starters!
These things are fantastic! I use them to get a fire started easily in my wood burning pizza oven. I stack kindling into a pile and only place one of these things under it to light. It gets all of the wood burning super quickly. I’m really impressed with how easy these are to use and highly recommend them.

Great for lighting briquettes in charcoal grills!
I use two of these to start a chimney full of briquettes for my grill. They light quick, get the briquettes lit quickly. One will do the trick but two will get the coals lit faster. Way better than using bunched up paper or fluid!

Works incredibly well and smells awesome!
Works incredibly well and smells awesome! There are many different types of fires and two major categories - ones you can cook on and all the rest!So far we have used these for both, and if we are going to s'more it up or grill on our firepit these are what we use because nobody wants to taste a gas station in their chicken or steak right? It gets windy here in Texas and even in those conditions they work well on fatwood, twigs and things, and charcoal briquettes.
