No, David! (Spanish language version) Paperback – July 4, 2001

I got this for my nephew but I read it for years to my boys. It was one of their favorite books. They would laugh and gggle at David. If you have a David this will show him they are just a normal kid. I had three davids!

I was worried that this book would send the wrong messages (a book full of a kid misbehaving), but I trusted the other reviewers here, and they were right - this book sends the _right_ messages. Firstly, it lets your child feel both superior and empathetic - our child howls with gleeful recognition on each page of the 'no-nos' David is committing. Secondly, the fact that the child is scolded (not rewarded) for his mis-behavior, and that the book ends with love and a hug, reinforce parenting.

My wife purchased this for her 1st grade bilingual class. The kids love it. They wrote papers after reading it relating to the story.

This was my first story we'd read by this author, but it had a lot of positive reviews so we got it. I thought the child looked scarry and evil at times. The story was basically about telling the child no a lot. Are we not trying to say no less so kids don't say no to us!! How about redirecting kids by saying instead of pulling over the fish bowl, let's look at the fish, or play with toys in the tub, etc. I would not get it again and will probably give away the copy we bought!

I finally was able to have one of my favorite books to read to children and teenagers in Spanish. I have had the English version for years but now I can share it in another language. There is a bit of David in every one of us.

Great for teaching what is and is NOT appropriate and just funny!! I highly recommend this book. My son loved it when he was 3 and still loves it now that he is 5 1/2.

No, David! is a much-loved book in my classroom. I ordered a replacement copy and thought I had carefully checked the book description. When I received the book, it was in Spanish. I tried to re-order and again received a Spanish version. Beware when ordering this book, the descriptions are not very clear and you will probably receive a Spanish version.  No, David!No, David!

I've read the book before and my grand-daughter loved it BUT make sure you don't order the Spanish edition by mistake as I did. No problem with the return and will definitely buy the English version.

Il povero David è davvero bruttino: niente capelli, denti martoriati. Tuttavia è un libro che i vostri figli piccoli vi chiederanno di rileggere mille volte e con il quale è possibile inventare molto al di là di ciò che è scritto. Lo stesso vale per "David se mete en lìos".

Recomiendo este libro. Es una manera de introducirles en la lectura y adecuada a su edad. A mi hijo le divierte mucho el cuento porque se siente identificado con "David"

I ordered the book No, David and it came really quickly I was satisfied. However it came in french and there was nothing that said it was a french copy when I made the order.
