Well made and works
I am using this to connect a Kenwood 890 transceiver to a 590s to use it as a second receiver. Frequencies can be swapped between the two radios at the touch of a button. So, it works fine for a communication (null) cable.

Null Modem cable with a good amount of NULL
Actually, this is a good null modem cable. I use these in my travels as a network engineer. Works as expected. Be sure to grab yourself a gender changer.

Defective
After an hour of troubleshooting on my computer i decided to test the cable with an Ohm meter.PIN 5s (ground) are connectedPIN 2(rx) is not connected to either PIN 3 or 2 on the other side.Very disappointed.
