Macwheel 28" Electric Bike, 350W Brushless Motor, 20-50Miles Average Range, Cruiser Electric Bike for Adults (Cruiser 550)

The bike itself is very sturdy, shifts smoothly, and rides like a dream because of the suspension and over all build. The only issues I have is with the instructions and the battery.The instructions are written in terribly broken English, don't provide enough pictures to build, and fails to mention the additional battery slide lock to remove the battery. The battery lock is only part of the equation. In order to remove the battery, you also have to slide another lock switch on the other side of the lock to take out the battery. I only found out about this after contacting customer service.The battery itself has no issue, it charges, and provides the power I need when biking. The issue I have is that I am unable to charge the battery from the bike, as advertised. I have to remove the battery and plug it in ever time to charge it. This is frustrating because it's inconvenient, and does not function as advertised. Customer service instructed me to just charge by removing every time. Why even advertise that you can charge it from the bike?Overall I am pleased with my purchase, just frustrated with the two things listed above. Otherwise, I would give this product 5 stars.

The bike is large - too large for my wife. I originally ordered two bikes and had to return one unopened. Since I had to buy a smaller bike for my wife I have a second bike to compare with. The MACWHEEL is by far the better built bike.At this price point I expected short cuts. There were no shortcuts in the bike itself. Most of the components (as I am sure is true with other bikes) are made by a third party. From everything I can see they chose much better components. As an example, the controller for the electric portion of the bike is light years better than the controller of my wife's bike. This bike, although larger, weighs more than 10 pounds less than my wife's bike.However, there is a serious problem with the bike. The manufacturer knows how to build a good bike but does not know how to work with and communicate with customers. I discovered how good the controller was, after not receiving a response from Macwheel, by doing research with the controller's manufacturer. Including a manual or instructions on the website for the controller is a simple way to enhance the value of the bike.This is a great bike for the price, but, be aware that you are on your own after you own it. If the manufacturer had been more responsive I would have given them five stars.

Update 4/2020: I've had a chance to ride the bike more. It's very powerful. It's pretty heavy so going uphill it's helpful to have pedal assist. The battery lasts a long time. I replaced the seat w/another one found on amazon. Still never been able to contact someone in "customer service" - aside from that I would recommend.Nice looking bike. Fairly easy and quick to put together for you non-bike people. I’m barely 5”4 and it’s a bit tall for me but it works. Rides well. Very powerful going up hills. It actually puts a smile on my face using pedal assist. I emailed customer service in January and have yet to hear back 4 weeks later. I was also promised a “gift” for liking them on Facebook. I’ll hold my breath for that.

ok first I normally I don't write reviews. However this is something for people to consider. First order and received bike in about weeks time at the end of September. Unfortunately it arrived broke. Error 24 bad hall sensor. In other words motor was broke. Reached out to company on Facebook the responded in very timely manner. They worked very hard over the next month to resolve the issue. They promptly sent replacement motor. Took another week to arrive. It however was not the correct motor. They had to send a different motor where the cord was long enough to reach the controller inside the frame of bike. That took another week.I scheduled a appointment with local bike shop for repair. They were able to fix it for about 85 dollars which the company promptly reimbursed me for. Excellent customer service I must say from company.Now I'm riding the bike. Quite enjoyable and decent value for your money compared to local bikes sold at ebike shops. Hope this helps those looking to purchase.

I bought two bikes for Christmas (Wife and myself), We rode them maybe 5-6 times, short routes..I Like the Bikes, a lot of great things about them (350W and 500W Bikes,)About the third time out I got a flat on rear tire, took to bike shop, guy said nothing you ran over, it's from spoke inside, he taped the inside of rim put in new tube and fine, then a week later my wife has flat on rear and I've read here where other people have them too on rear tire, so I believe the flat is inherent in the bike itselfSo on her bike 3rd time out I noticed it squealed, so took this one to bike shop, he tightened the brakes saying why did they ship it this way?? then he showed my how back rim was bent by how it wobbled when running. I contacted them over weekend via email, sent the the picture and a video, and also Pic of how wire in front snapped by turning handlebar all way to left (broke connector for lights)., there was not enough slack wire..They didn't get back to me today which I was expecting, but will give it thru tomorrow, if not I started return policy for that one bike. I have bought over a hundred items from Amazon and this would be the first I ever returned.As far as the bikes, design, motor, controller, ride.. I like it, well though out, I just don't want to spend a month getting it resolved. I sent in email that I would accept replacement parts, replacement bike or refund, up to them.. Oh, one last thing, over weekend they said they have a bike shop I can bring it to in N.Y. I live near San Diego, so I passed on that idea (not sure enough electrical in bike to make it all that way)

The bike arrived nicely packaged. I didn’t even have to use the directions it was so easy to put together. Don’t care for the seat. I ordered a new one from Cloud9. Still getting used to programming the display. Overall money well spent. Kudos to Macwheel!!

Awesome bike. Top quality and smooth running. Would highly recommend this bike for anyone. Love it.
