Functional, as well. Although the glass is a bit thin, it would not survive a fall. But I love the ergonomic design and the fact that my water stays clean. Definitely recommend!

So, this is a positive for me - the carafe is smaller than I expected. I have purchased other carafes for my nightstand and they are all too big and too heavy. This is truly a personal size carafe that is great for my bedside, my desk, or bathroom vanity. What is really nice too, is that while the over all size is petite enough to not take up too much space, the cup portion itself is a really nice size, so its not like you can only take a sip and then have to pour more out.I like to have water on my nightstand for taking medicine or if you wake up with a dry throat - but I have cats that have made a game out of pawing in and knocking water glasses off my nightstand. Instead of always using plastic bottled water (bad for environment) and waking up to broken glass (then having to buy more glasses), this is a wonderful and very pretty solution. My cats are smart, but they haven't figured out what this is . . . yet?

I'm not sure why but it seems water takes better drinking out of this. We use for our bedside table. I love the color and feel of the glass. We really like this product.

The glass on this tumble up is VERY thin - feels super cheap. I shoulda known better - it was inexpensive & w glass, as w most things, you get what you pay for.
