This is my second one. The first had a little bit of water touch it and it completely fried. After using for some time now it’s a good product. Calibration is easy enough. Does feel okay cheaper side but seems to be capable.

We used this meter for my daughters science fair project. It is very easy to to use. The calibration instructions are clear. I would give this 5 stars except I had to return the first one. After working for several measurements, it suddenly would only read a ph of 10. I tried recalibrating with no luck. The second unit worked like a charm.

I give it 5 stars because it's easy to use and matches well with the liquid ph indicator, for what it's worth. I've only used it a half dozen times - but so far so good. It beats test strips or gauging whether the liquid indicator is more green than yellow or more yellow than green and so on.

I have maintained a marine aquarium for a little over 5 years now. One of the worst mistakes that I have made was trusting the readout of this PH tester. Having a difficult time trying to find gallons of water due to the times we are currently in, I was forced to try a different water for my aquarium. I brought it home, mixed it up for my next water change and tested it using this tester. Prior to using it to test my water, I used the buffer powder to recalibrate it using the 4.01, the 6.86, and the 9.18 buffer powders recommended to use to calibrate the tool. After adding some buffer to the water, I tested it and it tested at 8.5. After completing the partial water change, my fish very quickly became ill and started to die. After exhausting all other options, the only thing that I had left to rule out was the PH.What I should have done the first time, using the PH tester in the old fashioned aquarium test kit, I used it to test the water straight from the container. Although it does not provide you an exact number compared to the digital readout, this kit provides you a range with a chart to determine where your level should be at. After testing the water straight from the container, the PH balance tested to be at the ideal range.Please, stick to the APH aquarium test kit. While having a digital PH tester may sound great in theory, do not rely on a digital tool to provide you with valid information to keep your aquarium safe.

The product has worked very well. No complaints at all. It is very easy to calibrate as well.

The readings are pretty much close. I would say better than strips.
