Ok there is nothing COOL or TRENDY about this hat. But it is Completely functional and serves an important purpose. It fits nicely. I love the pony tail hole in the back. I like that the chin strap is removable. It is very light weight to wear. I have thin, curly hair so I easily burn my scalp. I forget to put on sunscreen on my neck and ears when I wear a baseball cap. This hat has solved many of those problems. It is my go-to hat when out with my dog or working in the yard. My husband does tease me about it...

I bought this for my 7 year old, but its adjustable enough to fit me too and its great on both of us. I'm really thinking about getting a second for myself. The front part of the brim stands out nicely to shade the front and sides on your face and the back drapes down to protect the back of your neck. There is an adjustable elastic strap in the back to customize the fit around the head and, obviously, a chin strap. There is also a hole in the back so that you can pull your ponytail out like you do with a baseball cap if you want to. The crown is soft and light with vented sides. You could definitely wear this into the water and have it dry quickly.Best of all, my daughter loves it so she will actually wear it and not get her scalp burned at the day camp pool every day this summer.

I have a very small head (I wear a size SMALL motorcycle helmet), and it fit perfectly.I am usually swimming in hats that fit guys, or adults in general.I think it would stretch a bit if your head is medium sized, but I'd be surprised if it fit a large head.Otherwise it seemed well made and is one of the very few hats that has an opening in back for a ponytail.I don't like hair on my neck in hot weather!The hat band is not adjustable, but the chin strap helps keep it on.It has very full coverage because of its wide brim; the brim is much wider that a baseball style hat.

Love that this hat keeps me protected against the sun! The flap on the back and the fabric for ventilation was a great idea! Just what I need for taking the dog for a walk.

When I first saw this advertised, I was thrilled to see something equivalent to the Sunday Afternoon hats at about half the price. It even included hooks for removing the neck strap when not needed, which seemed like a plus. But the first time I wore this in a heavy wind, I realized that the hooks were a big liability. When the straps are tightened, the hooks dig into my ears, which is very uncomfortable. This was a showstopper so I returned the hat today. It's a real shame because it would be a great value without the hooks!

LOVE the color, and the pony-tail hole in the back.I wish the tail in the back was a tad longer, but the visor will even shade your chin.The chin strap can be tightened and NOT used under your chin. Just put the strap under the inside of the back of the hat, and tighten the strap.Fits perfectlyI will wear it on my float when we go to JAMAICA.I am at an age where I do not want sun on my face at all.This hat is cute too...not embarrassing or dorkey looking.Stay skin cancer free, with constant SPF protection.

I bought three in different colors for family that I boat and beach with. Has required neck strap and an adjustable band at the back to secure it. Turtle logo on front was described as "cute". Back flap provides good coverage preventing sunburns on the neck. Excessive wind will cause the front brim to blow over, wish it had more structure like a ball cap. Perhaps the manufacturer made it that way so it can be folded or packed without damage. Overall a hit!

I ordered this for my wife along with some of the same style for much less money. This one was wonderful and the other knock-offs were junky. This hat is made well, wears well, the brim holds it shape, the stiching is decent, and it has enough flap to ensure complete sun coverage which is very important for fishing in southeast louisiana. Of all the ones I ordered, this one was by far the best and it was worth the 16 bucks I paid for it.
