CoolibarUPF 50+ Kids' Surfs Up All Sport Hat - Sun Protective

My four year old son takes golf lessons and this hat is absolutely wonderful when he is out on the course. Purchased in size small/medium, it is fully adjustable and protects his neck, ears and face so I don't have to worry about him getting too much sun, especially since we live in the south and he is very fair skinned. Sometimes he is playing golf in 90+ degree heat and when he gets home and takes off the hat, his head isn't at all sweaty. The fabric is light and airy yet very effective at blocking the sun's harmful UV rays. I read somewhere that 1 in 5 little ones will deal with some form of skin cancer when they get to be adults. I wish more parents would take the sun seriously and do more to protect their children. Unfortunately, the selection of quality UV protective clothing and accessories is so limited. Great hat and highly recommended!!! Will be buying one for my 2-year old as well.

This has been a great hat for my 3 year old. It says it's a girl's hat but doesn't look like it in the navy color. It has great coverage, dries quickly and my son doesn't take it off so 5 stars. He's worn it at the beach and it's really kept the sun off of his face and neck. For playing in the pool, I'll let him wear this one but for real swimming, I'll stick with the swim lids. He doesn't get the same protection but can swim well with the swim lid. You can't really swim underwater with this Coolibar hat but for kids at play, it's a great choice. I bought him the white one as well and I don't think it looks girly either!

We like to play ‘would you rather’ in my family. As in: “would you rather wear a sun hat or get slathered in sunscreen?” My kids chose this hat every time. I can find my kids on the playground and the hats stay on.

We tried 6 different brands and fits, and this was the clear winner. Most toddlers don't like to wear hats, and a floppy brim and poor fit are the main reasons. This Coolibar brim is the best because it's constructed like a baseball cap and holds its shape so it doesn't obstruct their vision. The back flap covers their neck and comes up past the sides of the brim so it provides excellent face coverage/ shade. The size adjuster toggle is in an unusual position under the flap, but it works because it won't get caught on anything when the kiddo is running around. This is a great hat for kids with larger heads.

I wanted to order a product that I knew wasn’t directly from China and was going to be three sizes too small. I am very happy with this. The size I ordered for my grandson who has an average size head for a 10-year-old. I would recommend ordering up a size because it does have a drawstring that can adjust the fit

If your child does not want to have sun block on his face, this is the perfect hat. Stays on while in the pool.
