This beautiful barn-style greenhouse gives you a year-round growing space in an attractive, heavy duty aluminum frame and 10mm twin-wall panels. Engineered to perform in the most harsh environments. The Grandio Elite's rugged durability, makes it the most insulated of the greenhouses on the market and it's barn shape design is both elegant and functional, and allows plenty of growing space. Made to meet the highest standards of amateur and professional gardeners, the 1.6mm profile aluminum frame provides a stronger and more durable build than its competitors and won't warp, melt, or crack like the PVC-based barn-style greenhouses. And the heavy-duty construction coupled with 10mm twin-wall polycarbonate panels provide and the perfect thickness for winter insulation. A wide range of features and accessories culminates in a well ventilated growing space with gliding double doors, an easy-to-assemble system, and an insulation (R) value of 1.54 and heat loss (U) value of 0.65 resulting in an amazing gardening and greenhouse experience. The doors are hung from above which eliminates jamming and the door wheels are made from nylon for durability. The door wheel bolt is turned from solid brass with a smooth shank to reduce wear on the wheels.

Assembly frustration due to "this side up" labels being placed upside down on the bottom of several parts.
The greenhouse arrived on time, however going through the parts list indicated several missing parts. I contacted the seller and they mailed out replacement parts, which arrived a few days later. When initially inventorying parts, it wasn't obvious that two of the parts were bent. Also 4 of the parts have a label that says "this side up" however assembly reveled that 3 of these labels were placed on the bottom of the part, so when the assembly instructions were followed, these pieces are installed upside down. And this isn't apparent until several other steps are completed. This caused me to waste a ton of time having to disassemble several steps and flip the part around and then reassemble. URG! Very frustrating! That said, so far I do like the greenhouse. But as assembly was only finished yesterday... time will tell.

We have added to our greenhouse accessories & everything is great. They are a company in the USA
My husband & I were able to assemble the greenhouse with relative ease. Instructions are clear, plus the website has videos. Also, while assembling my husband called with a question & the call was answered by an actual person! He was so helpful & informative. We have added to our greenhouse accessories & everything is great. They are a company in the USA. Highly recommend these products

Fantastic hobby greenhouse ... Just take your time with the build and RTFM!
In my line of work (Information Technology) we use the acronym RTFM ... That is "Read The F...... Manual." It is no different with this greenhouse. Are there a lot of parts? Yes. Will it take you more than a few hours to put it together? Absolutely. Does it take more than one person to get it done? Of course. But if you read the manual, take your time, and carefully plan your build (which you should always do) you're going to end up with a FANTASTIC greenhouse. In my case, I read the manual several times beginning weeks before I started my build. I opened all the boxes, and separated out all the parts & all the fasteners according to use (base, walls, doors, roof, louver window which I optionally installed & assembled ahead of time). I separated out all the panels, marked the exterior sides with an X using a Sharpie (as instructed ... RTFM) and installed the (optional) moisture control tape (which is a job that takes several hours in and of itself) long before I got started. Then I stacked them in groups according to use.I made sure I took a pen and went through the inventory checklists in the back of the manual to make sure I had everything I needed before I started. I did. And I really appreciated that I even ended up with a few extra fasteners just in case. I also watched a number of videos on Grandio's website (several times). And you know what? If I still had problems, I just called or emailed their customer service. And they were always excellent. They were patient, took their time with me, and never made me feel unwelcome.I installed my base over pavers and cemented it into the ground with the provided base hardware. You MUST take your time with this. The base is everything. If it's not level or square (and how to do this is all explained in detail in the manual) you will mess up your build. It's not technically difficult by any means. But as the old saying goes ... "Measure twice, cut once." Or in my case, measure 5 times. ;)RTFM ... I know in this day & age, it can seem daunting to have to read through 50+ pages of diagrams and instructions. But I for one found the instructions to be very well thought out. Take your time to absorb them. Don't rush. And because I had a good friend with me and a good 6-pack of beer and some music, we relaxed and had a good time. My wife & I actually installed the base ourselves 2 weeks prior. And then it took my friend and I about 8 hours on a Saturday to finish the build. Over the next two weeks, I siliconed the bottoms and sides of all panels & end caps of the entire structure (as again explained in the manual ... use RTV silicone as it stands up to the elements better). Then I watched it rain a few times, saw where it was still leaking (every greenhouse does a little bit), traced the water and sealed any small gaps I found. Mine is as water tight as any greenhouse I've seen (again starting with perfectly level and square base helps immensely ... Solid foundation, solid structure). So why Grandio Elite? I wanted the extra headroom that comes with the "barn" style roof. I also wanted the thickest panels I could get (the Elite's are 10mm thick while most of the competiton's & Grandio's other greenhouses use 6mm panels). 6mm is good. But I live in a harsh climate at high altitude (8650 feet) and needed the most solid structure (and highest snow load) I could get.The price is certainly not the lowest, but I looked at some of those lower priced models at the local Big Box hardware stores and believe me when I say ... spending a little extra can get you a lot more quality. The only other company that came close to what I was looking for was Juliana, which build some excellent greenhouses. But dollar for dollar, Grandio's Elite was (IMO) a much better deal. I also chose Grandio because they were very welcoming in answering all my pre-sales questions. Even the dumb ones. ;) I really appreciated that, as well as their 10-year warranty and felt confident that they'd stand by their product (no complaints yet).It is hard to find trustworthy reviews of any greenhouse, because so many end up grading down the product, not because the product is bad, but because the user had trouble with the build. I found this with every single greenhouse company I looked at. And hopefully, in the case of Grandio's Elite maybe this review will offset some of those others.I can't promise you a quick build. But if you take your time and RTFM, I can promise you a satisfying one. I just went through my first growing season with my Elite 8x8 and I've really enjoyed it. I look forward to many many more seasons of productive use of what I think is one of the best hobby greenhouses out there. Good luck!
