Joseph's Gourmet Pasta Porcini Mushroom Sacchetti 3 lb (Pack of 2)

My family and I visit Melting Pot a few times a year, and under their good earth option for vegetarians they offer these little pocket pastas called “sachetti.” They are amazing but really hard to find anything close to them. So after researching I found these and I was a little hesitant to order themBased on the price and wondering how good the quality and taste would be.. we were not disappointed by any means, these are fantastic!! We cook them in our fondue pots at home and they are gourmet and authentic. The price is a little steep but you get what you pay for and these are far from store bought pastas.

They taste good. But they are advertised as a Porcini mushroom product. There is no mention in the ingredient list of porcini mushrooms anywhere. They are made of portobello mushrooms, which is just the regular button mushroom you buy in any store. Porcini mushrooms are very different, they are wild harvested and taste amazing and they should not label them as such if they are really Portabella.

We have a favorite restaurant that serves these but it’s quite a distance from us. Found these and we treat ourselves at home. Found a mushroom sauce recipe (Chef John creamy mushroom pasta) and serve with some good sweet Italian sausage. So delicious!
