Good for those on a budget, but product quality needs work
I bought this survival kit to put in my emergency backpack for if my car breakdown and I have to walk/hike to my next destination. I only spent about $30 overall which isn’t bad as I am a deal shopper. That said there are somethings in this kit that NEEDS WORK period.1) get rid of the keychain flashlight, as it is a waste of space in my honest opinion. You already have a lager flashlight included in the kit that uses AA batteries and that are easily replaced versus the Keychain one is not and this is dead weight.2) The serrated edge on the knife came with burrs still on it. Not the best thing to have if you need a knife to use for survival situation. So my advice to the company for this is to put a little more care into the knifes edge as it YOU were in a life or death scenario.3) LOSE the large whistle (personal preference)!! With what I intend to use this kit for the last thing I want is to be found, especially in a SHFT scenario. Plus the paracord bracelet already has one built in.4) things were so TIGHTLY packed that one of the item actually tore the blankets included in the kit during shipment. So either invest in a larger case or a fitted case.If you all address the issues I’ve mentioned above and this will literally be one of he best survival kits here on Amazon. ANY items that I have not mentioned in this review should obviously be kept in this kit.

!!!DONT BUY!!!**PLEASE**READ MY REVIEW FIRST
HATED IT!!! Mis-advertised soooo bad. I could have bought it piece by piece for 1/3 of the price. I requested a refund but was missing 2 things that it had to be missing when it came because it never made far out of the box for 1/2 a second. So now I'm stuck with it now I guess. If you just burn your money atleast it'd keep your hands warm for a minute. Seller I don't mean to be so rough but you should be ashamed selling this during this economy.

Emergency kit not made for frequent use
This emergency kit would be good for taking camping or throwing in the back of your teenagers car in case they break down somewhere without cell service. It has a variety of handy tools that could help in a bind. This is the kind of thing you buy and hope you never have to use.The tools are not rugged or very durable, and are only designed for light occasional or single time use. This is what I would expect from a kit like this. I don’t have any issues with the tools themselves, but you may want to test them when you get them or at least put a battery (not included) in the flashlight. Good luck getting everything back in its case though, that could have been designed better.

cheaply made
I bought this kit because the reviews were great, saying how durable and well made everything is. Mine...not so much, everything is very flimsy and made with the cheapest metal possible. My knife doesn't lock, my compass is WAY OFF and doesn't work right, my flashlight doesn't tighten when I put in the battery. I put everything away at this point.I'm disappointed

Pretty cool! A little smaller than expected, though.
I own my own mistake. I should've paid more attention to the measurements. My bad. It is everything it claims to be. I stand by my quality ratings, though.I bought this for my hubby, just as a little "just because" gift. He likes these sorts of things. It does have some cool gadgets in it. Some that we were a little stumped about and had to look up. lol He was pleased. So my effort had the desired effect. We like doing little things to surprise one another from time to time.I am sorry, being female....I can't give you a better description. Oh, yeah....we were a little surprised by one thing. In the pic, everything looks so organized. We thought there were bands or something holding everything in it's place. There is this black, padded pillow kinda thing on the bottom. But it doesn't really specify what goes where. The small items come individually packaged in plastic bags. As best as memory serves, my hubby had to kinda figure out where to put everything. Don't quote me on that part. I just know there was not a way to really mount the items in place like in the pic. Hope this helps!

Serves its purpose, but not a good gift.
It's advertised as a gift but don't think it's a good one. There's no instructions or even list of items, some of them are not very intuitive how to use. It took me some time to figure out how to close the knife. Another thing is the box is very tight, it's very hard to close it after opening. So I decided to keep it to myself, its still serves the purpose, just not a good gift.

Smaller than I thought but has everything you need. Nice compact and ready to go. I’d recommend this kit.
