Poynting OMNI-292 Ultra-Wide Omni-Directional LTE & WiFi Antenna, A-OMNI-0292-V2

Not to put to fine a point on it - I live in Orkney, less than 1 miles from the Atlantic and there's nothing between me and it. As you can see the antenna pops up over the roof, so no protection. The pole is a heavy duty, so are the wall mounts - this is a must have up here.So far, this place has claimed 3 'all weather' antennas in under 12 months and during that time there was a lot of instability on the link.This bad boy has been up for over a month, has been hammered by 70mph winds and has brushed it all off.In terms of performance, it's not as performant as a directional antenna, but there's only roughly 4db in it. This is normal and expected - Omni directional will NEVER be as powerful as directional, however there are trade off here - here's some for consideration.Omni - you can connect to several masts etc... No need to point it, calibrate it etc..Directional - 1 mast only (it fails, you're offline, it's congested, you're impacted) you need to point it (it moves your performance is hit)It's a Stability Vs Speed question. For me this translates to roughly 2-4 mbps loss, but I'm seeing an improvement in the stability of the connection. Basically, it's the tortoise and hare situation - it's a little slower, but overall it gets there first. (still pushing 30+ down and 15+ up)The mounting bracket - this has always been an issue for me, The vibrations cause metal fatigue really quickly. The bracket that comes with the antenna is a solid thing, definetely not 'consumer' grade and stands up to the weather here, which let's be fair, is not far off from the high seas!On the whole I'm impressed with it - it's doing exactly what it says on the tin, and looks cool to boot. Very happy chappy
