Modern DIY Upholstery: Step-by-Step Upholstery and Reupholstery Projects for Beginners and Beyond

Now that I know what is involved, I plan to check out the prices of supplies and see which is more cost effective. To do it myself or pay someone else.

Great primer.

Great looking projects but the instruction leaves a lot to be desired. The photos in the steps are not of the actual project but a drawing of the project and are very difficult to understand because they show things differently than the written instructions. If I had not bought this book used it would be going back but since it was so cheap I will keep it and use it for photo inspriration till I feel like trying to duplicate one of the projects just by looking at the finished photos.

Amazing Book!!!

I felt compelled to add my own review after reading all of the low-rated reviews. I borrowed the Overdrive e-book version from my local library for a headboard upholstery project that I just completed. It was my first foray into upholstery and the project worked out perfectly, thanks in part to this book. I found the instructions to be clear and easy to follow with enough detail to give me the confidence to tackle the job.I often like to try out a DIY book from the library or flip through it at a bookstore before buying because I don't like to be disappointed. I will purchase this book before embarking upon my next upholstery project.

Samples are somewhat cumbersome.

Wasn't overly impressed with the book. I think it should of have more detailed pictures to explain some of the proceduces
