One of my favorites
Understand that I'm a lifelong vegetarian and I grew up eating meat analogs. NONE of them taste like real meat from what my carnivorous relatives tell me, but some actually are good, judged on their own merits. In my estimation, this is one of them. The flavor is not so overpowering that you can't use it in recipes calling for chicken breast. (I've ground it up and combined it with cooked chopped spinach, ricotta, and seasoning as a filling for homemade ravioli, lasagna, manicotti, etc. and my meat-loving friends and family have chowed down and complimented me on the dish and come back for seconds.) And before you carnivores go on the attack, remember that even your favorite fast-food burgers usually contain plant-based protein, because it's less expensive. So, I recommend maybe trying a can or two of this and other meat analogs cooked in your favorite recipes (find a couple friends who want to do the same, and you can share an order).

Tasty snack. A bit pricey maybe.
It taste great but I have to admit my dog gets most of it. My dog is very old and cannot eat most animal protein. She needs to take six pills a day. So I open a can of this and enjoy some and sneak some dog pills and two other pieces so we have a nice meal together and I don’t have to fight to give her a pill. I like eating vegan or vegetarian a lot of the time just to make less animals suffer and the food’s definitely delicious. Some of their foods are a little sweet or salty but this one is pretty good. It’s a bit like a snack. No surprise there.

Good flavor & texture
While I can’t say that it tastes like chicken, I can say that I’ve purchased it a number of times, and it’s delicious and versatile. Slice it for a sandwich, cut it into pieces for a hearty stew or soup, add it to a salad to make it more savory. It has the right flavor and texture for me to attempt using it for a plant-based chopped chicken liver spread. I’ll report back later if I try it.

This is an old family staple... Served over RICE or with some BLACKEYE PEAS and CORNBREAD.We love this stuff... Technically I guess it's a PROCESSED FOOD, but it's VEGGIE and it's TASTYand it pairs well with other veggie things we like to eat.Good Stuff, if a tad on the spendy order. . .
