Matcha Powder, Premium Grade Japanese Matcha Tea, Grown in the Volcanic Soil of Kyushu, Farm to Cup Tea from Japan, 1.06oz

I just started drinking matcha and have sampled several brands at a wide variety of prices just to get an idea of what I like in a matcha, and how much I should expect to pay for the taste I enjoy. I have to say that this matcha is excellent, with a mild, almost sweet flavor. I was surprised that it blended more easily and tasted far better (light and without any sour aftertaste) than Ippodo Japanese teas running $30-50 for a 30 gram package. I also appreciate the fact that it comes in a tin that has a screw-on lid, which makes it easier to open and reseal. While I’m far from an expert on matcha, I know what I like and this is it. I quit coffee about 2 years ago, turned to matcha and never looked back. That being said it’s a challenge trying to find affordable, good quality matcha. I’ve tried so many brands and this one surprised me. For it only being $12 I wasn’t expecting high quality but it’s actually my favorite now. It’s sweet and bright green. Mixes great, no clumps and tastes just as good as the ones that are $30+. I’ve ordered this twice and both orders have been great. Tastes great with coconut or oat milk and some honey. If you’re looking for high quality matcha without spending too much this is definitely a good choice

This match a is great tasting a definite must for first timers, my only real complaint is the price for the amount of matcha, definitely expensive.

This matcha was so good. Texture was so fine. Blending was great.

I got this same amount from a different seller and it felt like a whole lot more than this but this one seems like waaaaay less. I’ll update on the taste when I try it soon but for now just know it’s soooo tiny. Idk how the other product had way more if both are 1.06 oz. the other one was so nasty though but way more expensive so let’s see how this one compares.This is way less stinkier and way less bitter than the other one!!! I actually like it idk how to make it into a yummy drink (practice) but I plan on making a matcha boba soon and will share the recipe if I like it! I made a cake with this too and used 2 tablespoons and it was good! Had a very faint after taste but it was stil delicious and really turned the cake super green I like this product and plan to buy it again soon because it’s already almost out. Idk if my bf’s poopy dad had sneaked some! But ima hide it now just in case cause I want to experiment with it and get my $10 worth not share with him lol

Doesn’t break down well in any hot liquid. I put a scoop in and the hard chunks form of the green powder, I try to break down with my fork and mix thoroughly, but when I’m going to drink after a while when the liquid is cool, chunks of the green tea powder are still prevalent and I have to chew it down with the liquid. Yuck! Plus the powder is in a little pouch bag , it’s not ready to scoop out in the container it’s in. So storage is a little frustrating. Because you have to conceal the pouch after every use and put it back in the container all closed up, which isn’t smooth because you have Some powder leaking out and getting on your fingers
