Great setup, running 1000W MH light at 500W-630W and tent is under 80. I got the cooltube elsewere since Gull wing would not work in my 4x4x7 tent. For the price it is an amazing setup. Pulling 400W through 1000W MH bulb did not heat up the ballast in 36 hours. Once I got my Ducting skills down I can now pull ~600W and bulb is correct color. I use 1000W bulbs at 600W because more surface area means cooler running. 600W bulbs at 600W keeps tent 2-3 deg hotter.Update; After spending time with this setup I am now running 600W opti red bulb at 630W, I do not even need that in my tent. Running 1K MH bulb ~45-50% is/was a wast of light, under-driven lights lose there spectrum and will push it farther up the kelvin scale. Moreover, I was getting spotting on ARC tube. Apollo 1K MH bulb is 43000K which is a bit low for Veg you need ~ 5000K or higher, 1K HPS is also a bit off at 2000K where you want little lower number. However if you run these lamps at correct 1000W CRI looks great (MH goes from blue to white a bit at 1050W). Do your self a favor and do not buy a Duct fan (any 6" fan that fits into a 6"duct) you will need > 450CFM to vent a cooltube running at 1000W, if you can duct correctly, if not then a 600CFM will FAIL to cool your tent. I dropped ~ $89 for a M-6 inline high pressure fan (@590CFM 1.1A 3K RPM's) and it will cool the reflector with a carbon filter on the intake and ducted out the window. The ballast does not shed much heat but I am removing it from the tent anyway. I do get flickering on the Ushio bulb when over-driven by 30W. This is not the Ballast but deals with the ARC tube in an HPS lamp. Great buy.Update, 2/4/16Still going strong on second grow. Pulled ballast out of tent for this grow and went bare bulb with GW setup in this kit. 1st, 400w MH bulb running at 400w does not add much heat to 4x4 tent and is easly handled. 600 watt bulb at any wattage is much, much hotter and will require extraction fan, not duct booster fan. 1k bulb runs hot, 3250 BTU'S and requires extraction fan and positive pressure fan as well as room under 70 F to work correctly. I'm using 440CFM fan with carbon filter for extraction and 590CFM fan to blow air into tent. I can keep bare bulb in tent between 72 and 76 F. Great kit for money. I'd buy again.

Can see a major difference over this light compared to my led one. Only negative is the heat it kicks off. Makes keeping tent cool harder in the summer even with air running all day but much better quality for the plants. HPS bulb blew though not even into 24 hours of use. MH bulb works great though. I bought another HPS bulb which I think was Phillips and that one is working great.

This is a great package deal with some awesome percs! Just the ballast itself is amazing with all the versatility you have with it, absolutely a great deal!!

It seemed to be good quality except the ballast didn't work. Sent it back and they sent another ballast that didn't work. I would stay away from the adjustable stuff and either do 1000 or 600 watt, whatever your preference. I've since moved to LED's which are much better anyway.

When I first received my setup I was a little worried. Neither of the bulbs would fire up. But, after a small amount of tinkering. I found out that the wires for the socket were backwards. Needless to say after a small fix bam everything worked great! My plants are extremely happy bathing in mass amounts of lumens and heat! Awesome product!
