Beechwood Pencil Marking Gauge

I've used the pencil end about 7 times now. Built well, for its price. I hold it so that the pencil is at a shallow angle to the surface being marked. That way, there's more block surface contacting the side, making the gauge steadier in its travel.I also pulled out the marking pin at the other end. Thought I would wind up sticking myself with it. If I need another pin marking gauge, I'll buy another one of these, and remove the pencil.
