Excellent summer hat and great price. Good styling. I use it to keep insects and ticks out of my hair when hiking. I apply bug spray to the hat and brim. Works like a force shield to keep mosquitos away. Well ventilated. Can easily wash it off in the shower after use. When it dries, the brim gets a little stiffer and curls slightly up. No problem, it's a sun/bug hat, not a runway accessory.. Still, I think it looks better than most of the summer hats. The string is an important feature. The hat is slightly large on my size 7 (medium) dome. Soaking and drying tightens the weave slightly. I like the loose fit, but the wind has blown it off when the string was not cinched up. The string is good quality. The adhesive "sizers" fall off and essentially useless in my opinion. You can superglue some other suitable strip on the inside if you feel the need to adjust the size.

I was looking for a hat "prop" for a children's class, and this hat is far from just a "prop". It's a great hat, and great value. The internal elastic headband virtually assures proper fit, and provides great shade from the sun. After using this as a prop, I am looking forward to wearing this in the yard, beach, etc.

I'm giving this hat a 4 because it's a really nice hat but we had to send it back because it is smaller than stated. My head size is 23 1/2 inches and it was too tight for me. It did not come close to fitting the person for whom I bought it; their head size is actually 25 inches.

If you live in a hot, sunny environment....this is the ticket to keeping the sun from cooking the top of your head. Don't worry about the size of the hat. One size fits all and it's very comfortable to wear. For me, I put a folded paper towel on the inside and let portions of it draped down the ba k of my head to protect the neck area from excessive sweating and annoying insects.

I like the style of the hat and the general look. It also does a great job protecting my head from the sun. Comfortable too. My issue is with the quality / construction of the hat. The edging of the brim is already starting to come apart. I did a quick repair with hot glue and it looks like it will hold - time will tell. I don't like having to repair new items but I also hate to send them back if the repair is small (and it is so far). Although I like the hat, I can not give it a 4 or 5 stars due to the quality issue.

I already submitted a review for this hat. I use it every day for outside work and couldn't be more pleased. The style is great and the fit is perfect. My wife loved the look so I bought one for her. She says it's ideal for gardening.

I bought same hat two years ago it was very good This one has several flaws hat not smashed in shipping but has several places in the crown where straws are broken and twisted the open holes are larger and not symetrical on the right side the left side crown air holes are smaller and are down lower than they should be and some are covered by the hat band the biggest flaw is in the back of the crown over a 4 inch area the straw is supposed to be tight but has almost 1/2 inch gaps in the weave and some of the straws are twistedand broken one spot in the brim in a small area has broken straw I know this hat will not last as it is not made well first hat from this company great this one got by the quality inspectors to bad for me the hat cost a lot
