Such a good book
I loved this book. It was both heartwarming and heartbreaking. As others have said by the end of the book I felt as if they were all old friends. Many of the characters in this book are featured in earlier books by Marcia Willett so her fans will defintely want to read this one.

It came a long way, baby!
This is one of the earliest books by this author and this book came from England and in good shape, it took a few days but arrived in a timely manner in good shape. Good Job!

Marcia Willett delivers again
This is another one of her books that I just could not put down. The characters seemed like old family friends by the time I finished the book and I kept thinking about them long after I was done reading the book. Love and forgiveness once again win over adversity.

You don't just 'dip in' to The Dipper
It's a good, engaging story, with Miss Willitts usual elements – the Devon countryside, older people, and younger people who are sorting themselves out. I missed the occasional reference to Scriptural precepts - although the books are by no means written within a Christian context, but with the other books I always felt there was the occasional 'fragrance of Christ.' There is always forgiveness, redemption/rehabilitation, hope, humour and a cracking good story in Miss Willetts books. And above all, always have to know how it ends in the end.

A wonderful uplifting story from Ms Willett
I loved this book. A little different from her usual novels. As usual, thought provoking, with interesting characters displaying all life's emotions. There are passages which really made me think of my own past and circumstances. How events can twist and turn, the choices we make. The story unfolds in such a magical way.

Wonderful read
I adore all books by Marcia Willett (she also writes as Willa Marsh ). I have slowly collected everything she has ever written and I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone who likes a good read. The characters come to life (and a few are actually real people) and the plots are very carefully worked out and totally believable. Finding the same people again in another book, as background characters makes it feel as if you are reading about people you actually know, old friends... Very clever!Although, as in real life, there are sad, bad and downright awful patches, the books have a real feel good factor and are a true pleasure to read. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Better read in order!
Love Marcia Willett books and am trying to read them chronologically. This one has links to previous books so although a stand alone storyline, is better having read the previous novels and knowing the characters referred to. That said, a good read as always.
