I've been using this seat (without the back) for over a year. It's still comfortable and sturdy. I may decide to put on the back; however, right now that's not needed.

ok BUT if you have long legs the cut out will not wash your nether regions w/o moving forward.

Useful as advertised; could use better assembly instructions.

We bought this chair for my wife's mother. It seems to be well made and she likes it very much. I put it together for her, but the hardware was not right. There was suppose to be 4 - 32mm screws and 2 - 38mm screws, but there was 6 - 38mm screws. I attached the back with the longer screws, but didn't tighten them because they pushed against the back from the inside. I called the company and told them about it. The person said she would see what they could do and call me back. I still haven't heard from them and it's been about a month. I suppose I will have to go the hardware store and see if I can find some stainless steel screws that will match in the right length. Don't expect any customer service if you have a problem!! Bought this chair for my 83 year old mom. Took me a bit to assemble it. Tried it out myself first and found it to be comfortable and very stable. The adjustable legs were easy to reduce down to a small size. We are all under 5' tall. It is a good quality chair.

Nice seat that was very easy to put together. I am thinking it may have been better to get one with arms; but I'm giving this one a shot. Thank you very much.

My husband is 6' tall therefore he has to be very careful when sitting down because the seat is slippery when wet. (I should have been more diligent when searching for this item and would have noticed.) THE CONCEPT IS GREAT. He wanted a seat that would enable him to complete his daily hygiene without to many problems. He has left side paralyses from a stroke and can not use his left hand or arm making cleanup difficult when bathing.

the seat opening is not only very good for hygiene it serves as a place to put your leg when standing. Finding this added space is excellent for safety. Think twice before considering a different design.

I recently replaced my older shower chair with this one. My older chair had all the holes in the seat which collected a lot of water and any number of "things" and was difficult to clean. This new chair is fantastic in that with the cut-out seat it is so easy to clean my "nether-regions" to perfection while still sitting down and not fearing any falls. The feet are non-slip and actually stay in place. The only thing I would change is that I wish it had arms on it. Just having the back on the chair is taking some used to where my fear of falling is.

cut out section on seat is wise for cleaning private parts but not cut out deep enough, from front to back. With the cut out section in the middle it would be wise to make the edges wider for strength. Interestingly enough was just in Mexico and requested a shower stool and all they did was bring in a plastic lawn chair. It did the job.
