Outlet Plug Lock

Great outlet plug. Purchased it to use as child safety features to prevent 3 year old from pulling cables from the wall outlets.

Got these to keep my plug obsessed grandson from unplugging (and getting shocked) various appliances. Seem to be doing the job. Since he can't get to the plugs he's left them alone b

I misunderstood how it worked, which is my fault, but it is nonetheless pretty inconvenient to have to unscrew the outlet cover and screw in the protector every time, and then reverse the process when you're finished. Probably better suited for those who plan to leave something plugged in for a long period of time.

I have six kids, so I have a good bit of experience with child safety equipment. :) This was a new type of lock I wanted to try for a specific case where the standard locks/covers don't work so well--a surge protector cord. It looked like it might work, being adjustable. It doesn't work for that. It's a bit of a challenge to get it over the cord, but the plug itself on the surge protector just is too big for this to work. The other piece for locking the other outlet would just fall out.So while it is a very strong and sturdy option that is a great choice over the standard outlet plugs (which kids can learn to pull out, trust me), it will only work with standard/smaller plugs (e.g., lamps). It would be perfect if you just want to lock down an outlet.

I wanted to use it for my pc plug but its thicker gauge wire and wont fit in the slot to lock the plug in the outlet. I dont need my toast plug secure. Thanks but no thanks.

Great product for curious kids! Sturdy and looks better than those bulky/flimsy boxes.
