Just buy it it's worth it
The most durable jacket I have ever owned when I picked this thing up I was shocked immediately threw It on it's comfortable once you get it on but you can definitely tell it's quality it's "light-ish" but that material was dense so thick I'm surprised it don't stop bullets lol

Pretty good
SIZE: 5'8 to 5'9 (haven't been measured in a while, probably somewhere in between) and ~270lbs. Closest thing to my body shape is probably a fat brick lol: my shoulders, chest, and stomach all extend around the same width.Normally wear XXL shirts for a bit of breathing room, but I got an XL because Carhartt always runs a bit big and the XXL was no exception. Ended up being a bit snug against the belly but still had enough room to wear a sweater or hoodie underneath and fully zip up, so I'm not that mad; it just makes your phone or whatever's in your pocket stick out a bit. Maybe the pockets loosen up with time, but they could be also be bigger, both the inner and outer ones. Range of motion is great, but the sleeves are a bit long and the underarm part makes them look a little big. Then again, my hands are kind of small, so what are you gonna do. Gussets on the back shoulders are kind of deep though, so I'm a bit worried it'll trap dirt or dust. Might not hurt to try the regular washed jacket just in case these bother you, but it's mostly aesthetics anyways. Not really a complaint, but it's fleece-lined. Not gonna lie, I really wish they made a flannel-lined version for this. The washed duck feels good though, definitely softer than the firm duck which I like (firm duck always takes longer, and the stiff hood bothers me to no end). It's great for when I need a simple and comfortable jacket to withstand the cold from the wind on the riverside. Also pretty great for hiking on colder days. It's definitely good on its own (without any other layers) for at least 40 degree weather. Not cold enough here right now to test in 30's and below freezing temps but I'm sure adding a sweater and another layer underneath would probably be enough then.Overall 4/5. Big fan of Carhartt, and the jacket seems pretty solid so far, but time will tell the rest.

I don't submit many reviews... but this deserves it.
I'm surprised how much I like this jacket. It really is 'full swing.' Lots of built in structure for human movement. The duck canvas cloth is very substantial. And this jacket overall is very substantial. If you like 'substantial' -- this is good. The "relaxed" fit is perfect. Don't forget. For Carhardtt, the term "relaxed fit" is counterintuitive -- to me at least. Relaxed fit to Carhardtt means a slimmer or more tailored fit.And the 'relaxed fit' of this jacket is perfect. For a normal sized person, there is not an air gap at the bottom of the jacket -- like there is in some other Carhardtt products.I like it.

It’s a great jacket but beware of this feature
It’s a great jacket, fits me well and true to size. 5’11 230 lbs size XL was great. Only one problem to me was that I did not like the cinch bungee chord for the hoodie that is located right by the neck. On one of the photos I shared you can see if I zip up the jacket completely that cinch mechanism is gonna be touching my neck. I find it annoying and because of that I had to return the jacket.

Looking for a great jacket? ..... buy this ....
You’ve probably got half a dozen jackets in your cart ..... trying to decide which one to buy ..... just buy this one ....Vary, very warm ..... down to -20 if you’re not out too long ..... easily-20 or -10 if you layer..... this will not replace a good coat, as it only comes down to the waist ..... you can buy a Long, but then you have the long sleeves to live with..... it’s not just warm, but comfy warm ......I’m 200, 5’8” , with a beer belly and the Large fits just fine .... not tight ...... and can even layer with something thin if you need to ......if you think you will ever be wearing a heavy sweater or sweatshirt under, then you should size up to a XL ....... if you are not familiar, the Carhartt Brown color is not as bright as depicted..... much darker ...... almost a coyote brown ......Just enough pockets and are placed perfect ...... it’s heavy, surprisingly heavy ..... big wooden hanger heavy ....... that Full Swing thing is not a gimmick...... but I can’t explain it; you need to try it on to see what all the fuss is ......I don’t do a bunch of reviews....... but this is the best jacket I’ve ever owned......I’m 60 years old and I’ve owned many jackets ...... I love this jacket ..... it’s expensive for a Carhartt, but this is top shelf .....I’m going to buy another..... to I need two of these jackets? .... no ...... I just like it that much ....One last thing, the hood ..... when you flip it up, it just settles perfect .... not to far forward..... not to far back ......

Great Jacket but some interesting details missing
Received the jacket as expected and on time but it does not have the usual fullswing stiched logo inside at the neck. Has this been changed or is this and okder/newer jacket? Fit is great and expect any years of use.

Carhartt Full Swing jacket
Great winter jacket! Super warm and heavy but still flexible. Jacket material feels durable and the dark brown colour looks amazing. Will be your new favourite jacketI ordered the XL tall. I’m about 6’2 230 and it fits perfect. Still a little baggy in the stomach for layering. Probably right on the edge of going with the normal length but I wanted the body and sleeves a little longer

Very versatile
This is a great jacket and worth every penny, especially if you compare it to brands like Canada Goose. This jacket is amazingly versatile, I wear it everywhere, from doing yard work to running errands. The full swing gussets mean you can do almost anything and the jacket doesn't constrict or ride up. You can tie your shoes, chop wood, whatever. The material is very rugged and durable but I was also surprised how soft it was when I got it. Highly recommended, Carhartt makes great stuff.
