Product Description Specifications What's In the Box Product's Review Retractable monopod feet with a fluid chamber and a mounting adapter enable the user to capture smooth videos or stabilize for rock-solid stills. Lock the fluid chamber to hold the monopod in position or loosen the twist lock for smooth panning shots. When not in use, the feet fold away to allow the stand to be used as a support for speedlights and modifiers. The LP605M includes an adapter for seamless transition from mounting a speedlight to mounting a camera without carrying extra gear. Use your existing ballhead with the adapter for easy control while shooting video. Due to its compact design, the LP605M is the perfect support for lightweight lighting kits, on location or in the studio. Built-in ground spikes can be used to secure the stand on semi-soft surfaces. The stand's legs can flatten when extended for low-profile support and fold tight to the center column to give the LP605M maximum portability. The LP605M is built of lightweight, but durable aluminum and features metal locking collars, five sections and four risers. Monopod feet are made of aluminum with rubberized feet for grip on a variety of surfaces. The LP605M features a standard 5/8" top with 3/8" thread and includes a platform mounting adapter and LP605-3 3/8" to 1/4"-20 Adapter.

Great for serious photo hobbyist
This is my first lightstand and I chose this because it can be converted to a monopod. I am a hobby photographer and I accept photo sessions from friends. I try to bring as few items as possible. This being a 2 in 1 made me choose this. This can hold my flash, flash bender, flash holder with no problem. The knob has a cheap feel to it but is sturdy enough to hold the weight. The max height is perfect for off cam flash and the compressed size is good for backpacks. The monopod legs have a cheap plastic feel but it does the job of providing stability when in monopod mode. Though when you lock it,it might not hold a DSLR with a mid range zoom. It feels wobbly. For a smaller camera it is OK.It has spikes when you want to use it on dirt groundThe default head is the round one and you will need to buy a ball head

Great little stand!!
Nice little stand that's very flexible. Love the little feet that come out for tight places! I bought another one, so that should tell you something :-)
