Munster, Go Home! [Blu-ray]

What a beautiful presentation of this classic which some of us first saw at Saturday afternoon kiddie matinees long ago. The familiar cast from the series are all here with the exception of Pat Priest, who for some reason was replaced by Debbie Watson, who had starred as Tammy in a briefly popular 1965 television series. Guest stars Hermione Gingold, John Carradine (in a really outrageous wig in some ways more horrifying than any of the Universal monster makeup), Terry-Thomas and Jeanne Arnold (who has a great hiss as the insidious Grace Munster), all add to the fun and spook-tacular shenanigans. A treat for fans.

The sound and picture was so clear for the age of the video! I am a absolute classic spooky loving girl and I adore Herman Munster! I had to buy it to watch with my kids lol

Released to theaters in 1966, this technicolor Munsters film is tons of fun. It's well-made, beautifully and colorfully shot, and the Munster makeup is top-notch. All the side characters are perfectly cast. The musical score is great. The story does get a little frayed toward the end—but that's okay. Lots of funny lines. Fred Gwynne is in fine form, but I was struck by how funny (and beautiful) Yvonne De Carlo could be. Good crisp transfer, too.

If you enjoyed the TV show, you'll love this feature-length film. This movie is so much fun from start to finish. The whole family enjoyed it.It's a mystery full of twists and laughs, and when the family car is converted to a race car, the action begins! Highly recommended if you love a funny movie that knows exactly what it's doing and who it's for. This film is garbage-free fun for the whole family.

Bought This Blu-Ray As A Gift, The Recipient Is A Huge Munsters Fan & He Loves It!! Must Have!!

My daughter loves it.

This item was bought at one day's notice as an unexpected present for loved one who was returning from hospital following a major operation. The Royal Mail guaranteed next day delivery was worth every penny as the package arrived right on cue at lunch time, less than a day from placing the order and much to the lady's delight! I am glad to report that this excellent, smut free, film has stood the test of time which was helped greatly by superb re digitising that ensured brilliant sound and colour vision quality.The acting and plot were very much along the lines of an extended episode of the 1960s TV series that was well loved and respected by many and the concept of the family travelling to the UK for a dodgy inheritance led to some genuinely funny moments. There is a clear friendship between cast members that added to the nostalgic value of the film. For those who enjoyed the Munsters TV series, I would highly recommend this as a worthwhile purchase.

I enjoyed watching the Munsters on TV back in the day so bought the complete box set and this item to watch and enjoy again.

Bought as a gift. They love it. Came on time.
