AWESOME/ Easy For Breastfeeding in Public!
I love this carrier for the following reasons:1) AWESOME for breastfeeding in public - and this is coming from a first-time mom with a 9wk old. Breastfeeding is HARD - and this makes it easier. That alone makes it worth the investment. I wear this out like an infinity scarf, and when kiddo gets hungry, I slip the loops on (just follow instructions in package) and pop her in. The K'tan supports her weight so my arms don't get tired and my back doesn't hurt... and I can have a free hand if needed - and can even nurse standing up/ walking around!!! I wore it the other day while feeding in public at a sandwich shop and at least 3 guys walked by me and were clearly oblivious to the fact I was nursing. Worn with my favorite nursing top by a company called LaClef (https://www.amazon.com/LaClef-Doubled-Maternity-Breastfeeding-Charcoal/dp/B01IYMU2M6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1478883341&sr=8-4&keywords=laclef), you can do stealthy feeding anywhere. I bought a 2nd k'tan in a different color for this exact purpose.2) It's far easier to put on than a Moby, but with essentially the same functionality. To be clear, Moby is also great for babywearing - and Moby has the added bonus of being adjustable which K'Tan is not - but it's not realistic to put on a Moby when you're away from home/ anywhere with a dirty floor, while the K'tan is truly a "go-anywhere" product. Now, there are some "cons". First, sizing is tough. The size calculator had me in a size Med. I'm 5'7" and weigh 165 right now (~155 pre-baby), with 36DDD (36C pre-baby). I put on the medium and it felt huge, especially when my daughter was only 5 wks (~8lbs) - so I exchanged it for a small, which felt much better. Fast forward 4 weeks, she's now 10lbs and the size small feels REALLY tight now, like it might be squeezing her uncomfortably when I baby-wear. BUT the small is fine for nursing (maybe even better than a Med), so I use it for that, and in a pinch for babywearing - but I did go back to buy a second wrap in size medium (again). I used the excuse that I wanted a different color. :) Lots of reviewers talked about the material stretching out, but I haven't noticed that at all with my size small. I guess the moral of the story is to follow the sizing calculator on the Baby K'Tan website - or plan to buy 2 (size a small down for newbs <10lbs, then use the recommended size for over 10lbs). :) But overall, the fact that there isn't a way to adjust it - that's a bummer.Second "con" is that there are Tags. All. Over. There's a GIANT white satin tag with "WARNING: SUFFOCATION HAZARD" in bright red ink and "how to use" instrutions/ pictures in blue and red ink tag sewn into one of the loops. Plus a Baby K'Tan tag on the other loop. PLUS a Baby K'Tan tag on the piece of material in the back that holds the 2 loops together, as well another larger white satin tag that's sewn in with washing instructions, and a 3rd "hanging" tag that has washing instructions in other languages. AND another Baby K'Tan tag on the "seatbelt" wrap. JEEZ! Like I said, I wear the carrier as an infinity scarf (one less thing to stuff into my diaper bag, plus I never have to worry about not having it if I'm already wearing it)... but I've had several occasions where I look down at my "chic infinity scarf" and see "WARNING: SUFFOCATION HAZARD" in bright red lettering on a white satin tag instead. Not so stealthy. Yes, I could probably grab a seam-ripper and spend an hour carefully cutting the tags (mostly) out. In all my free time. As a working-full-time-mom-of-a-9-wk-old. Riiiight. Minor complaint, but a complaint none-the-less.Overall, if you're considering baby-wearing and/ or need a confidence booster/ tool for nursing in public, buy this wrap. I bought both of mine as "open box" deals on amazon and saved a couple bucks. One had been previously opened/ tried on but still had all the tags. The second was completely brand new/ never opened, but the outer cardboard box was totally squished. Just wash before you wear (I'd do that regardless) and it's fine.Good luck, mamas! Happy baby-wearing and nursing!!!

The best baby carrier EVER!
I've been looking for this my entire mommy life and have basically become a Baby K'Tan evangelist. This thing is awesome. I have 6 kids and have tried a lot of different carriers. The Ergo is a huge favorite of mine but I've never ever been able to get it to work before 4 months - after inserts and numerous attempts. It's not that the babies aren't safe, they just have all hated it.This carrier is simply awesome. The pros are:1. Super easy to use. Anyone who has used a sling can use this without even thinking about it. It's essentially a double sling (one sling over each shoulder). The instructions look complicated but after you've used it a few times, you can just cross the carrier (it's like an X in front and back) and put the baby in whatever position you want. It took me about 3 uses before I could get the baby in and out in about 5 seconds.2. It keeps the baby really close to your body so you can bend over and carry things, load the dishwasher, do laundry, etc. without feeling like the baby if falling out of something or without even really disturbing them (or you) at all. It's really low profile.3. It's really compact and easy to shove in a bag. It has the little pocket in the sash you can store it in, but I use it so much I never bother.4. It's super comfortable. I went into parenthood thinking I'd be an attachment parenting baby wearer, but my back couldn't tolerate it. I searched all over for a decent carrier and couldn't find one so I basically became more moderate and (gasp) let the babies sleep in their car seats sometimes. I honestly find myself wearing my newest addition just because I want to. The K'tan is really comfortable because of the material it's made of (thick cotton), and because of the way it distributes the baby's weight across your back. I thought this might be hard on my back like other carriers have been, but it's not.5. It looks nice. I've even had people comment on how pretty it is. I've honestly never thought about that before, but it's a nice perk.6. You can wear the baby in lots of positions. I love this. If my 7 week old is really awake I can face him outward, if he's awake but doesn't want to exert all that effort to hold up his head I can face him toward me and if he's really tired he can lay down in the sling position. It's awesome. They do say not to introduce anything but the sling to a baby under 4 months, but I haven't had a problem. My baby loves to be upright. The only con I came up with is that I think I got the wrong size, which is essentially my fault. He seems to hang a little low on my body and I have a hard time getting him up where I want him to be sometimes. I really think I may get the next smaller size. So if you're not sure what size to get, I would say order small.I had never even heard of this carrier until I was searching on Amazon and I'm so glad I have it. I've been telling everyone I know how absolutely awesome it is - I can't recommend it highly enough.

Great construction, washes well; stretches
3.5 stars rounded up to 4. Recommended w/ reservations.I used this product with my first child and intend to use it again with my second. This is a really nicely constructed product. It's easy to get on and off, and holds baby really well... to a point. The main problem I had with this was the material stretching out. You know that favorite t-shirt you've had for years that just keeps growing with you, but you don't notice because YOU keep going a little bigger? Well, the Baby K'tan is a bit like that. When my child was small, this product was perfect. Held baby tight and close and was very breathable. But, as my child got older, I noticed the material really started to give. Now, it's common sense that a heavier baby is going to put more stress on a product such as this and stretch it a little bit. What I didn't anticipate was that it would stretch SO much, to the point that even after washing, it wasn't bouncing back. I discontinued using this around 2.5-3 months for this reason. So that was a bit disappointing.Despite this, the item washed VERY well. It became softer with each wash (maybe that's why it didn't hold up?) It was SUPER easy to get baby in and out, and I love the loop design, as well as the added waistband. Would I purchase this again? Not for full price whatsoever. I purchased my first one open box from the Amazon Warehouse for a steal, and I would do it again if I needed to replace the one I have for some dire reason. But at a full price point of $50, this just isn't worth it for the limited amount of time I was able to use it. Therefore, I'd recommend the Ergo (which is what we replaced it with) from the start with the infant insert (again, look for these items open box on the Amazon Warehouse to save money).

Size corresponds to you, not baby
Takes a little getting used to to get on but very nice, clear instructions. My baby loves it at 4 months and has done since she was a newborn. She always sleeps really well in it. Small fits me ok but my partner can’t wear it as too tight for him.
