Great product! Replaceable Battery!
After some initial concerns I am very happy with my Timer Caps! I honestly believe these easily increase medication compliance for many people and that increased compliance can improve outcomes and even save lives! In full disclosure, I am a pharmacy technician in no way affiliated with this product or its manufacturer. I don't believe my employer has considerd carrying this product, yet!I purchased the set with two small bottles and two large bottles to test with family members struggling with medication compliance. We've had the most success with family members who only take one or two medications either daily or twice daily. Family members prescribed more than two medications tend to prefer pill organizers, monthly and varied schedule medications are better handled by other means. My biggest concern with Timer Caps the was the "disposable" nature of this product. At $5 to $10 per bottle/cap pair and a likely 1 year battery life I was not excited to replace these so frequently. Luckily I've found the batteries are quite replaceable, see below for instructions. The designers made a great choice to create these as disposable. This design reduces complexity and fragility of the product, avoids issues with users replacing with an incompatible battery, and should increase repeat purchases.I'm still concerned with the (small) potential for the switch to be fouled by dust from certain pills. Also I would love if an even smaller size were available for travel or daily carry.I love this product and believe in its value. While not appropriate for every situation, I truly believe the Timer Caps can improve outcomes and even save lives! I hope that my battery replacement instructions improve sales and use by those who may have otherwise been turned away by the "disposable" design.BATTERY REPLACEMENT:You will need a LR41 button cell battery, a small Phillips screwdriver (I used a PH000), a small flat screwdriver or similar pry tool, and possibly a razor blade (box cutter or Exacto) or sharp knife.First, note the orientation of the adhesive plastic label on top of the cap. Mark the cap and the label so it is not installed upside down later. Begin at the edge of the label and gently remove it. You may need the razor or sharp knife to lift an edge as this label fits snugly within a rim moulded into the cap. With the cap removed from the bottle and upside-down, begin by gently prying the loose clear disc away from the retainer tabs moulded in the white cap. The disc should come out easily and have a small spring attached. Set these aside. You should now be able to identify the four small tabs retaining the timer within the cap. Carefully press these in and toward the top of the cap one-by-one. Do not try to force each tab out on the first press, just go around to each tab a few times until the timer is released. With the timer now free from the cap, note the orientation of the metal switch (bent tab above the center of the timer) and battery (printed side towards switch.) remove two small Phillips screws retaining the metal switch and the battery. The battery may fall out or may need to be pried out with a tool. Now you can place the new battery in the correct orientation and refasten the switch with the two screws. Align the timer to its position in the cap and press gently to reseat it. Align the label on the cap and press it back on, paying attention to seat it well within the rim so debris does not get under the label. Carefully press the clear plastic disc back in place, be sure the spring reaches the switch and does not bind. Finally you should close the Timer Cap back onto the bottle and wait few minutes to assure it is working properly.

Great for busy people
I got these for my mom because she has to take a pill at the same time everyday and often she can't remember if she took it yet or not. Doubling the dose makes her feel awful and not taking it also makes her feel awful. These are fantastic at solving that problem since it shows when you last opened it. The only problem we've run into is that the batteries die and there isn't really a way to replace it without buying more of the whole product. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who has to take meds everyday and can be too busy to remember sometimes. :)

Work great. Wish they came in CVS size.
Excellent. Lids don’t fit cvs size so you have to use the bottles they come with. Those work fine.

For non-prescription meds ONLY, order wide mouth for prescriptions
I bought these to replace a set of now-discontinued, beloved CVS timer caps picked up at a brick-and-mortar location back in 2015. These were a set of 3 (2 standard, one wide mouth) that were, I assume, commissioned from TimerCap LLC for retail sale at CVS.Unfortunately, it seems to me that the standard bottle sizes have changed at CVS, and that TimerCap LLC has not yet begun to manufacture for sale a cap the same size as the newer, standard CVS bottles (Berry VL-20). These will fit the old standard (Berry VL-13).The obvious solution is to empty the prescription into one of the bottles that come with the TimerCap. I could not tell you who the manufacturer of the amber vials themselves are, but they appear to be equivalent to the Berry VL-13.However, it is actually illegal in some states to transport or store prescription medication outside of the container it was issued in. Because no timer caps exist yet in the same size as the standard CVS bottles, I would recommend any CVS Pharmacy patrons first look into your local laws regarding the transport of prescription medication before using them to store and transport any prescription that is highly controlled.Because these laws don't lend well to travel, I would generally suggest that, for prescriptions of highly controlled substances, the cautious patient, loved one, or caretaker look into the option of the wide-mouth TimerCaps. The wide-mouth TimerCaps are the answer to this dilemma. Rather than go on top of a pharmacy-issued Rx bottle, the intent is that the complete prescription is placed inside the larger bottle fitted with the appropriate TimerCap, like a matryoshka doll of responsibility prescription management! Congratulations!None of this makes me any happier about not being able to use any kind of TimerCap on CVS VL-20 prescription bottles, hence the petty, excessively researched and arguably exhaustive Amazon review I spent most of my afternoon on. But I digress. As a product and an idea, I cannot praise these enough. These are one of the best things ever to be invented. The fact that these come in COLORS is unreasonably exciting. However, they do, much unlike my experience with their made-for-CVS TimerCap elders before them, suffer from some cut corners. They break easily, if they arrive working at all, they're intended to be disposable, cumbersome to replace the battery in, and I do understand the necessity of manufactured obsolescence with regard to creating continued demand, but that does not mean I as a consumer have to LIKE it!You can see in my ibuprofen-filled example, the first one I tested, where the last digit on the cap gave up. But if THAT doesn't capture the feeling of reaching for an ibuprofen in January of 2021, what does? Conclusion: They work, but not on all bottles, and can be a bit fragile. They are still the best invention. I encourage the prospective buyer to research and read other reviews before taking a gamble on these.

Stopped working after 3 days.
I am a chronic pain patient. It is imperative that I take my meds properly. When I got back from the hospital, I was on several meds. While recovering, occasionally I couldn't remember if I took my med or not. I always had to err oh being safe. Enter these timer caps, they reset after I open them. No longer did I forget if I hadn't taken my med or not. They were awesome.¡9 These are easy to use and you can label them to remember what it is, and how often to take it. I have ordered these for years, change out the batteries to get a little more life out of them. They all worked except this time, and one only worked. I can't give a good review because of this batch. Sorry
