Chafon Remote Control Electronic Door Lock Set- Security Padlock Lock Automatically Intellisense Household Warded Lock with 4 Remotes

I purchased this item after doing quite a bit of research, and I have been so far very pleased with it. It was easy to install, and has worked flawlessly. I have read that other people seem to have problems getting all of the included remotes to work, but I did not have this problem at all, all 4 remotes function perfectly. If you read the included manual, you will have no problems setting this unit up properly. An excellent security device for the money, easy to install yourself, works very well through my metal door, and I would not hesitate to purchase another should the need arise.

Product is well made and was easily adapted to my use. I installed it outdoors to lock my yard gate and since the device is not rain tight, I made a clear plastic hinged cover for it that worked out well.Be advised that this lock can be manually operated from the secure side and is not a high security device.

I needed a lock that didn't use Wi-Fi and able for me to lock/unlock it when i'm outside of the house. Installed at my elderly mom's house to keep her safe inside. I'm not handy at all but managed to install and align it with the door. I did need to buy a stronger adhesive backing for the steel door though. Works as expected and perfect for my needs!

Got this for my grandma to be able to let people in without having to maneuver to the for and we love it!

Not easy to install

This lock is THE answer to easy lock installation. No core drilling like deadbolt installation. The mounting plate design anticipates varying door frame sizes. There was difficulty finding a remote that would work from a distance and through the door. The lock came with 4 remotes and one eventually paired and worked. An excellent low-tech manual safety override is built into the design for emergency situations. The owner's manual has the typically poor english that is characteristic of translated instructions which leave you wondering how to complete most steps. The basic workflow is to fully assemble the lock with the throw bolt fully closed through the hasp and centered with the included plastic spacer rings. Then place the mounting plate on the back and attach the pre-placement adhesive strips to the back of the hasp and mounting plate. Stick the fully assembled lock to the door and door frame. Unlock the lock and remove it from the mounting plate. Fasten the adhered hasp and mounting plate permanently with the included screws or rivets. Reattach the lock and it will be aligned correctly!

A very good product.Easy to install.Just one thing,a lithium battery was died.

The seller indicated that this product is waterproof. I Installed it on an exterior gate and it worked fine until the first rain. After the rain, the lock could not be unlocked. I took it apart and dried out the interior with a hair dryer. When I reassembled the lock, I could not set the gearing properly and the locking mechanism won't work. The lock worked fine, is easy to install even though you have to interpret the instructions since they are written in very poor English. It would be very simple to waterproof the lock after installation by simply placing tape over the joints, but I assumed that the seller had sealed the joints. I would recommend this product for an interior door.
