These arrived quickly for Easter, and they arrived safely and were well packaged. My advice is to rinse the mushrooms first to get rid of any grit or dirt, then soak in refrigerator overnight. Save that fluid in which they were soaked since you can use it as a stock for soup, or freeze it for future use. After that, I usually simmer them over low heat to make them tender. Sometimes they can be a bit "chewy", and this extra step makes a difference. Again, save that mushroom "stock" for future use! When family visited from Poland, this is how my cousin prepared these mushrooms for pierogi.....These are perfect for Polish Uszka, pierogi, mushroom soup, mushroom gravy, bigos, or any other recipe in which you'd like a strong and excellent mushroom flavor!

The product is just as described, or even better. What impressed me, though, was the seller's seamless response in changing the shipping carrier, due some problems we have had with the commercial carriers. The mushrooms were sent out immediately and arrived early. Great Service.

These had too many mushrooms that were hard after soaking. Cooking them down helped a bit. I have used dried polish mushrooms for years. Not bad
