Janome MB-4S Four-Needle Embroidery Machine with included Hat Hoop, Lettering Hoops

Love my machine. Very easy to learn.

Machine had been used but was listed as new. One of the needles were broken when we took it out of the box. The machine would not work and when I went over the error codes it gave with the seller I was told it needed to be sent in for repairs. The code said the motor was locked. I didn't want a brand new machine that needed repaired before one stitch was even made. Seller was very nice though and said to return it for a full refund which I did.

It's a pretty cool machine, and pretty simple to figure out how to use it. I do think that I received a refurbished machine rather than a new machine, because there was a pre-wound bobbin in the bobbin holder, and there were random pictures of a dog and a grandmother posing with her grandkids set as the screensaver of the machine -- so I was a little disappointed that I did not receive a new machine. Also, one of the needles was broken upon arrival. Overall, the machine is easy to use.

I actually love my machine now but... when it arrived it was unusable, I was very frustrated for the first month of owning it. My needles kept breaking over and over again. After watching many videos, downloading a maintenance video I figured out it was a hook timing adjustment that needed to be performed. Ever since I did the adjustment it works great. If I were a beginner at sewing, it would be devastating to receive a machine that doesnt work out of the box. I do love it now!

from the reviews everyone who sent one back for issues, every new customer got the refurbished from all the ones sent back listed as "NEW"... i think i will look elsewhere.

The Janome MB 4S is a dream. Yes, the machine has a filled bobbin installed, good because you receive an extra bobbin, and there are stock photos included, that's just for enjoyment. The best part of the machine is that it is so easy to use. The threading, bobbin installation, design transfer directions were simple. If anyone has a problem just Google it. Everything is explained. I created the above as my first thing I did. Looking forward to so much more.

WARNING: Machines are refurbished I purchased this Machine and the USB port was torn when I received it but since it's my 1st embroidery machine I didn't think anything of it until I started to use it and realized it was sent with the usb port torn so I had to look high and low for a new monitor which the manufacturers don't make any more, so basically a waste of money, Please save your penny's and go else where, SAD COMPANY RIPPING PEOPLE OFF

The machine was easy to setup but I’m having problems getting my files imported from my usb. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am using a MAC computer but the files are both DST and JEF.
