Fodor's Essential Israel (Full-color Travel Guide)

I used this Fodor's Essential Israel as my primary source for planning a 6 day trip end of May/early June 2022. It has a nice format and good information. I found it up to date, but I also cross-referenced websites and TripAdvisor forums since post Covid travel always means schedule changes, etc.

Only disappointment is their books usually come with a fold out map which I would have liked.

I like to be educated about culture, customs and what to expect when visiting a country, which is why I purchased Essential Israel. Packed with great information, it highlights places to go, custom to know as well as currency, and getting around. 5 STAR

This book is full of information on Israel. Not only the must-see attractions, but many smaller ones that most people never hear about. It also lists many places to stay. Also, tour companies. A very good read.

Sixty years old and an avid reader, I have never experienced such a problem. A book with such an offensive odor that it was not fit for use. I purchased a second new copy and the odor was every bit as offensive as the first. After returning both new copies I purchased a used copy with no odor as one would expect.

This book gives history and great advice

Wasn't quite what I was looking for. I was looking for something that info on religious sites. Still it was handy.
