Avery Heavy Duty View 3 Ring Binder, 1" One Touch Slant Ring, Holds 8.5" x 11" Paper, 1 White Binder (79799)

I needed a wide binder and many smaller binders like this eventually seem to tear at the seams. While I haven't used this yet, looking at the binding seam it appears much stronger than other ones I've used and plan to keep it.

I use these binder for my classes and they work the best. I have tried the standard duty, but the clasp for them keeps opening up. These hold up well when you have a lot of paper in them. I also like the two inside pockets on the front and back which are good for the extra handout that my students get.My only con is that if you would like to add a spine label it can be difficult to feed the paper down through it.

Good binders with an easy to open latch. I ordered 2 inch binders, and they sent 3 inch wide binders. Other than that, good binders, and value.

I am doing my CEUs, (Continuing Education Units) to renew my medical state license. I print out the courses from the PDF they send me and then place each one into one of these binders, to keep them forever. I learn so much from the CEUs, and I like to have the ability to reference back to the material later. These ring binders are narrow and are excellent for the few less than one hundred pages of documentation. I print out the title page and place it in the front designed window making it easy to identify the binder. I also have a Brother Lable maker, so I will print out a label for each end piece so on a shelve they will be easy to identify. I like being a little organized and these binders are perfect for that reason. I will have to buy more, and i will buy more of these. Thanks Amazon.

These binders are perfect for my purposes. The sheet protectors I use for 8.5x11" pages are completely covered by the front and back binder panels. Those panels also completely cover the tabs on the page dividers that usually extend beyond the edges of the binder. This is a big deal. The surprising thing is that the front and back panels are the exact same size as other binders I've tried that are not wide enough to cover the same sheet protectors and same tabbed page dividers. Measuring from the crease (i.e., hinge) where the panels join the 3" wide spine to the opposite long edge is exactly 11.25". The trick is that the manufacturer (Avery) has redesigned the shape of the rings and mounted the ring mechanism on the back panel about a 1/2" closer to the spine. The result is that the tabs on the page dividers absolutely do not stick out! The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the dimensions in the item description are not even close to reality -- so it's been hit or miss for me to get the proper binder that will completely cover the tabs. Even the video posted on Amazon of these binders show the page divider tabs STICKING OUT. Someone at Amazon or Avery should correct these errors.

One can't go wrong with an Avery Heavy Duty Binder. I was a classroom teacher, and I used my notebooks for years! They don't fall apart or wear out. I only buy them when they are on sale somewhere.

I doubt these are going to hold up very long. I am using these to hold ephemera that I have for sale, and each time I take one down from the shelf I am worried that the covers will tear. They look great and hold a lot - but give no feeling of security when you handle them.

I appreciate the extra inside pockets on the inside. The binder label is a bit time consuming to get inside and can be hard to center. I like a neat, clean, organized look so I bought a lot of these. For that reason, I would appreciate a lesser price.
