This book is deep writing and not tough language taught in Drafting Format Books (which judges skip)
◆This book is way different than what you think. Read the full review before scrolling down◆There are hundred other books like 'Affidavit with 200 written format' or 'PIL with 20,000 formats' , but let me tell you; the judge hates them.AND. THEY. DONT. READ. THEM.The judge gets to see those copied formats almost everyday and never never reads them. I repeat; 'the judge never reads them' , if its a copied format from some drafting book.A judge is a human and you expect him to read 40 pages of copied drafting from 20 advocates every night before he goes to sleep? Almost 800 pages of copied legal gibberish with tough words everyday? Not humanly possible. He hates it and will see the advocate as another new pest who took Law Degree to make the judge's life more miserable and will probably just ask the advocate to summarise it in open court. All the while he will hate you as much as an Ex-Lover even before he sees your face. The maximum a judge does is to read the 'Summary'/ 'Analysis' and 'Pleadings'. Most judges cant do that because they are extremely busy writing judgements.◆So what does this book teach us then ?Coming back to this book . It doesnt have any draft formats ( which judges never read) . Instead it has all thedos and donts of legal writingabsorbed from countless writings and techniques of senior advocates and advises of judges, both indian and foriegn. And when the judge sees writing format that doesnt have unnecessary words to make his life Miserable, he will read it and he will be thorough with your side of the argument even before you open your Mouth. Isnt that you want?◆I have to acknowlege that this is one of the best books on legal writing . Then Why do people put bad ratings for this well written book. Probably because they think this book is full of Draft Formats that are available in hundreds of other books. Sad.◆ The Art of Legal Writing author hs put so much effort in writing this book. She has put lots of effort to give thorough detail of writing methods.◆ While other draft format books were usually compiled from other older draft books or court formats without much work and they still have high sales. And then there are Civil court, Criminal court books which are shameless copy of bare acts which also have zero work put into them. And lets face it, bare act language is extremely time consuming to read and they dont teach us much practical aspects.◆Guys, format books are available for decades but they dont teach you to write readable legal text. But this book does.◆ If you are looking for a drafting format book. Dont buy different books for affidavit format, civil format, agreement format, contract formats, No. Save your Money and buy only 'Better Drafting' written by justice BK Behra. Thats all you need for civil and criminal.

Not useful
This book deals with the contents of your writing ,It do not have an example of any sort of drafting or even a single noticeSo that one can understand the format as well .Overall it's not so useful for a law student or even for frofessional.
