Not safe!
I guess maybe I didn’t understand what this product was when I bought it. It was too small for my daughter, her legs stuck way off the bottom of the velcro barrier. I bought it as a precautionary measure but I’m glad I never used it at night. The first time she used it, she fell asleep in it for her nap and I left the room. When I came back, she was face down NEXT to it (I had no idea she could roll off of it like that. She was only 7weeks old). It keeps me up thinking about what would’ve happened if I would’ve used it at night and she suffocated herself because of my stupidy. Do NOT buy this for your baby, they’re unnecessary and not worth the heartache of something happening to your baby.

Helps Newborn Sleep Independently
I highly recommend this for newborns. We had bought another brand and then realized we might want more for when it needed to be washed so ended up buying two of these. They are much softer than the first brand that we bought. We use them in her bassinet and her co-sleeper that she naps in during the day. We've found they help baby to sleep independently and feel more snug in her bassinet. She likes to elevate her feet while sleeping so the pillow at the bottom helps her to stay elevated. The pads are washable so it's easy to keep them clean when baby spits up. We only use them when baby is supervised and I would recommend stopping use once baby can roll over but I feel it's a great product for a newborn and would recommend to my friends who are currently pregnant.

Ships From China
**Update**I am pleasantly surprised by the quality.I’m still unsure about the safety of materials used as far as emissions go and the order not being fulfilled by Amazon like it says are why I took off a star.I have to be the first bad review. I have not yet received the lounger so I may be surprised but BUYER BEWARE, it ships from China. Despite what it says, this is not Amazon fulfilled. It ships from China and will take a month to get here.I have mixed emotions about this. I figured it would probably be made in China but I find that things that ship direct from there lack quality. Plus I spent good money to get a good mattress that is low emissions and made in the USA, but then put baby on a lounger made in China which most definitely will not meet emissions and regulation standards. Yikes.

HOLY HELL DONT PUT IN THE WASHER!
I bought two of these. Baby isn't here yet but I wanted to prepare ahead of time and washed this item like I've done all other items that will touch my baby. I should have read the Q&As about washing first! I put these in the washing machine (HUGE MISTAKE). They washed just fine... it was the drying part that was awful. Aside from the velcro piece coming off and re-sticking elsewhere and leaving marks (which aren't even that bad), whatever material the padding in the pillow is sucks up water like a camel and would not release it for anything. After a full cycle in the dryer the pads were still soaked. I had to ring them out by hand. I put them back in for another cycle and they were STILL damp. I laid them out to dry the rest of the way. Whatever you do, DO NOT put these pads in the washer. Hand wash only with a wet cloth and a dab of soap of preference.

Good for Safe Bedsharing & Breastfeeding Moms
(If you are unsure of what **safe** bedsharing means, please check out the book "Sweet Sleep". I think you can find the safe bedsharing Sweet Sleep guidelines online for free too.)My newborn is comfortable and snug in this pillow. The part that cradles baby's head has a very low flat profile so there is no risk of obstructing baby's nose or mouth. This provides easy access for breastfeeding mothers at night. The removable curved pillow that goes under and around the baby's legs discourages rolling for new babies and provides extra comfort. Also, this pillow is extremely light weight, portable and can fit in beds, cribs, bassinets, etc. Finally, the item is affordable. Buy this. I'm a second time mother and I wish I had discovered this with my first baby. Wash and dry it on gentle cycles.

So glad I bought this! We LOVE it!
I was debating if this was “really worth it” as well as “if it REALLY worked”. My baby is now coming upon a month old and I just say, I absolutely LOVE this little thing!! His head is nice and round. No flat head. And I feel so much more comfortable at night when I sleep, because the little side bumpers help hold his little body into place. He IS a wiggle worm though and getting stronger and stronger, so I’ve noticed he pushed himself up and out of the pillow area for his head and his back ends up on it! It works best for the first two weeks and I think it would probably work even better when in a crib. He sleeps in a co-sleeper on my bed, so his feet reach the bottom if he wiggles down or if I put it too low. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this infant support Body pillow. It will give you a peace of mind while you sleep...if baby lets you sleep! Lol!

Be careful
Update:My little one has lost hair from the material. I was noticing random bald spots and saw on the pillow that his hair is covered in it. I've stopped using it.I think this is soft. Baby seems comfortable in it. The quality is questionable. I think I was expecting something more padded and thick. It's not easy to clean. I'm nervous to let my baby sleep in it but I do only when I am next to him as he naps. Be careful!

Great for bassinet sleeping
We use this in our bassinet and our baby sleeps so well for a newborn. It’s safe and makes her more comfortable than sleeping in the bassinet alone. We love it!
