I bought this, to use with my cordless power tool batteries, and was planning on powering my boat accessories with them, thinking it would be slick to be able to just mount this and then wire from there, to my fish finders, onboard lights, etc., saving my 12v batteries. I had watched a review on YouTube telling of how slick it was for use on a Kayak for this very thing. Well, here's the problem - the batteries are 18V, and with the exception of some lighting, you can't power a lot of things like a fish finder as they call for 12 volts, and I couldn't seem to find a device I could purchase reasonably, that would step down the voltage from 18v to 12v (anybody know of a device for this, that isn't outrageously expensive?). So anyway, as intended, this product is excellent, and an exellent way to power an off-the-grid cabin lights (capable of running 18v), or in a boat etc., for that matter. I'm still looking for a way to get this to work as I had originally desired - and it is a good product.

After the Barbie keep went down because of a dead battery I did not want to spend the 60$ for a new one. This purchase was perfect. I was able to use my drill batteries that are sitting around unused most days anyways.The my 18v Ridged Batteries last about 30min of running hard. I saved some money with this purchase and my kids got a princess jeep with a nice bit of get up and go. Should the jeep ever need replaced or we just get another, I will be getting another adapter right away.

When i received mine the battery terminal connector was not placed right and when i tried to slide my battery on it didn't line up and started to bend the connector. I had to bend it to the right possession to line up to the battery. The wires connected to the terminals were just glued in a little with what seemed to be just hotglue gun glue. I'm pretty sure over time they would of pulled out. I used JB Weld on mine to hold them in place. They are never pulling out. I use this at work almost every day to test all kinds of electronics i install. Especially door strikes.

Great application for running your fish finder

Pretty simple but works great. I put F2 male connectors on the wires to replace 12v SLA batteries for my Garmin fishing sonar. It's a fraction of the weight and runs longer than the 10ah 12v SLA battery I was using. The best part is I can recharge my Ridgid batteries in 15 min, compared to several hrs to recharge a SLA battery. Love everything about this adapter and I can now make use out of my four 4ah drill batteries since they don't get used too much any more after getting the 9ah Ridgid battery and Octane drill. Excellent idea! Will be ordering another for my Garmin Livescope setup.

This adapter for Ridgid batteries is excellent for PowerWheel conversions. My kids had a blast in their old, slow PowerWheel as it goes 50% faster with the 18V Lithium Ion battery as opposed to the old 12V lead acid battery. Charging time is reduced, replacement batteries are plentiful, and it hauls now. What’s not to love? This adapter is a fraction of the cost of one other model that does the same thing. It makes swapping fresh batteries a cinch.
