Little Women: A BabyLit Storybook

I'm so glad Baby Lit has started making these storybooks. I love that this book actually tells an abridged and kid-appropriate version of Little Women, so I can share this beloved story with my toddler and preschooler. They enjoy the story and the pictures. I hope they make more books like this!

My great granddaughter is 2 and 1/2. When this arrived, I thought it might be too mature for her, but she loves it. Perhaps because the pictures are so colorful. The thick pages are indestructible, so there is no worry about damaging the book as she wants to turn the pages herself.

My daughter, who is not quite two, loves books. For context, one of her favorites has been The Clown of God by Tomie de Paola since she was about 18 months old. She asks for this one by name all the time as well. I don't know how much of the story she understands (certainly not all of it!), but it's obviously enough that it engages her!

Wonderfully done for little kids. My two year old loves books, whether we are reading to her or she is pouring through the pictures "reading" to herself. This is a good length for her most of the time and while she isn't old enough to get it yet, it is nice for me to read something a bit more interesting than Daniel Tiger Goes Potty. We have a ton of these (Anne of Green Gables, Secret Garden, Prode and Prejudice) and we adore them all.
