Great little wheel
These are amazing little spark wheels I carry it as a back up to my lighter definitely buying a few more

Works well.
I’m using this to start a lighter, and it’s held up to a lot of use. Flint replacement isn’t difficult, and the obvious flints to use fit correctly.

Nice little sparker
I wanted a spark wheel I can keep on my keychain. This fits the bill. It throws plenty of sparks. The only con is that the square bit at the bottom has very sharp edges and is uncomfortable. Rounding those over would be great.I bought this for the spark wheel, so I'm not including the included vial in the rating. Don't get me wrong, the vial seems very well made and is a good size, however it weighs as much as all of my other keychain accessories combined.Keep the "gift" and spend the extra on rounding over the components.

Spark wheel
Puts out a decent spark but the square end makes it painful to use, I would rather ues a ferro rod. It's turned out of square stock, if they had taken a few seconds to round of the base, I would use it, granted you can wrap it with duct tape, but for 10 bucks you shouldn't have too.

Hard to hold and use
The good: for a thumb wheel, this thing does a great job generating a solid set of sparks that make it easy to ignite cotton fibers, char cloth, fine tinder. You can't expect it to be a ferrocerium rod, but they chose a great wheel. Also, it uses standard sized lighter flint, replaceable by unscrewing from the back. The bad:I had a really hard time holding and using it. I've tried many times, including last night. The circular diameter of the body is TINY, making it difficult to grasp and control in your hand. SEE PHOTOS.A standard sized pencil/pen measures 0.3" inches and I measured shaft of this product as 0.2" (33% smaller). That's a problem when striking near a delicate bunch of tinder. It gives you the same feeling you get when using a screwdriver with a small diameter handle. It appears to be made from a rectangular block of brass, turned on a lathe. It looks nice, but they could vastly improve the usability by skipping this step. To make it worse, they just left the sharp corners right where you have to squeeze it tightly-- it's unpleasant, to say the least.Compare to a similar product made of orange plastic (see photos), advertised as a product used in Air Force pilot bail-out kits. It's about the same width, uglier, but much easier to use (0.3" width). However, if they made the body wider and rectangular, I would re-buy it because of the positives.TLDR:Sparks well, replaceable flints. But tiny diameter makes it hard to hold and use.
