Perfect Women's Utility Kilt
I am so happy with this kilt. I ordered one from Tartinista last month and struggled with its fit due to the wide waistband not accommodating curves. With some alterations, and painting the bronze bits with black fingernail polish, I am happy enough with it, but this Kilt fits me way better and didn't need any alterations. This kilt is lovely. works like a real wraparound skirt. Totally adjustable by a few inches. If you have a hard time seeing what is going on on the right side of the skirt, there is a little hole that the under-strap goes through. I ordered this in black and purple. Both are good. The metal parts are silver-tone which I am really happy about. The description says there are poppers (snaps) but there are not any, which I am happy about because they'd probably just be in the wrong place anyway. I ordered size 28 and at its tightest buckle setting the waist is just under 29 inches so if you are between belly button measurement sizes I'd say choose smaller because you can adjust the kilt to go bigger. I haven't washed it yet, so can't comment on durability, but it is a nice medium/light weight cotton twill.

Wears and washes well
Wore this over the weekend multiple times for Milwaukee Irish Fest. I am a volunteer with an area that gets tons of traffic. This skirt was comfortable. It was around 85 degrees each day, and it stood up very well. Numerous women asked where I had purchased the kilt and I shared the Amazon seller! Side pockets were great for pens, cash, cell phone and more without weighing me down. Follow ordering instructions! Measure your waist! You can always make it bigger with the three belts, but you cannot make it smaller! I washed it twice over the weekend, half dried it then laid it flat to dry the rest of the way before wearing it the next day...perfect! The pin is a great touch. I was not going to wear it, but I did, and it got a little windy, so kept the front of the kilt from flapping up. I may even buy it in another color, but black is my color! Thank you also, for getting it to me so quickly. My other kilt is in storage, which I forgot about, and there was no way to retrieve it before the Fest. This kilt is a little shorter than my other one, so even better!

A really wonderful kilt
This has become my favorite kilt. I like the buckle and strap closure, which is easily adjustable ( some days I’m a bit more rotund than others) and the length is just right. The pockets are a nice size and secure with one convenient snap. The fabric is not prone to wrinkling, and it’s so PURPLE! I love it.

Closures Cheaply made
The fit is a little big. Th buckles and rivets and such are extremely cheap and not really functional. Seems like they will brake very easily. Not worth it. Looks and feels like inexpensive elementary school uniforms.Returned.

Women's kilt, not exactly women's cut.
If you're curvy, go up a size or two.For reference: I'm 5'10" ,150ish, 37-28-38generally size 8/10 in pantsI have a 32, which sits on my hips where i want it to and wraps well, but... then there's my butt. Around the hips is fine, the straps are almost all the way in, but the way it falls over my butt and the width of my thighs makes it sit with the pockets right behind my arms when I'm standing.--I tried wearing it higher up like a traditional kilt. It's worse not better. I get a sort of tutu/ruffle effect with the pleats, it's very short... aaaand the pockets are still in the wrong spot.I originally bought a size 30. It fit fine around my body, but had the same length/poofing/pocket placement issues. I didn't have all of the buckles at their tightest, so I thought perhaps I needed to size up to get the cut to sit correctly. One size up and now I see the problem is in the non-adjustable (pleated) portion.I think a 34 at it's tightest would work, but would definitely need a belt to be sure it didn't slip off my hips through the day.At least, I could take in the front flaps once there was enough width in the pleated section.Unfortunately, I missed the return window so I won't get to test the theory.I'm a little frustrated, I ordered this kilt specifically because it's a women's model. I was excited to finally find a kilt that would fit me comfortably. As far as i can tell, it's more like a shortened men's kilt than something cut to fit curvier bodies. I wish that had been clear in the product description.

great Quality
Size bought small, its on the next to last buckle to make snug, and plenty of extra to make it larger.i think i could have bought one size smaller and be ok, but happy over all with it.I am a 32 inch waist, and 42 hips. ( lots of hip! )The Kilt fits great! Good quality, comes in a nice bag.

Nicely made, runs way small.
The kilt was made decently, the reviews said it ran large so I went down one size. Mistake! I ended up giving it to my 8 year old. Size up like 4 sizes!

A great kilt
It’s a great kilt. I live in South Florida & the material is not too heavy for summer. I washed it once & the color does bleed.
