Neato! Wooden Catch Ball

I bought this for Christmas. My kids are grown now but mine is the Christmas house and I always like to get a few toys or games that will give a few laughs and create interaction. This Catch Ball was a hit. (Remember Bob-A-Loop?). I have 10 stockings and knew that was overkill but I bought 2 of them. People had tournaments, made up games with them, kept score and I even noticed some people playing with this by themselves. It's simple to grasp but not as simple to do and takes up no room. It can even be done in the car. We need to get children back to tangible, physical activities that create interaction with others. This Catch Ball is an inexpensive, fun way to do it. Buy one and leave it on your coffee table. You will be surprised how everyone picks it up and very soon a conversation starts.

My friend and I have been looking for ball in a cup for a long time now. No dollar store, or k-mart, Walmart, or even target have these. It’s a little overpriced which is why I’m rating as a 4 Star, but the quality of the toy is very nice (it is a little small and a more difficult type of ball in a cup) and if you can get past the price then it’s worth it. I brought it to work and no one could stop playing with it whenever things were slow.

Absolutely the best retro toy. Bought this for our grand children. Two of them are really into electronics, but when the two boys started to play with this " Catch the Ball ", they said " this is better than anything we've played ". One grandson, started counting how many times he caught it. All of them are over the moon happy playing with this toy. Played with it for two hours, and started up again later. Our granddaughter loved it just as much as the boys. What a breath of fresh air to love something so simple, but FUN. My husband and I even loved playing with them.

Well this year we got together at my place with dome neighbors because I have no family here I invited fewZ after dinner just talking and listening to music we had so much fun passing around this great innocent toy ... at first people thing this is too easy nooooo give me something else !!!! Hahaha ! But it's not easy, not boring and it's so much fun you just want to keep going ! Then today I was on the train with my daughter ( we live in New York ) so we challenge some people .. even Ben Aaron from NBC ! So cool! Because I'm a big fan ! How can I post a video of the video of the challenge ??

I never had one of these as a kid. So bought one for grandson and granddaughter - gives me a rationale for me to play with it.The measure of quality on this item seems to be does the string remain attached or does it break easy. I waited two months to review this thing so I could test it (learn how to be cool dropping ball into the top most of the time)I can put the ball into top once in a while, and it string remains as good as new. Buy this thing for a classic toy as it is very durable and relative well priced. I will probably have to buy another as I need a great deal more practice and grandkids still are not having much time with it.

Good quality toy, Got it as a joke for my Fiance for a stocking suffer this Christmas after seeing the Family Guy skit about ball in a cup. My Fiance happens to be a Mexican-American & pretty much addicted to videogames, we got a good laugh out of this toy. The colors are nice & vibrant, the string is firmly attached, it is a good size good & weight just a nice quality toy. Plus it's been Mexico's favorite toy for over 340 years according to Family Guy so how can you go wrong?

Low tech gadget that challenges all these phone/screen/texting kids to demonstrate their hand eye coordination. HA HA Ha HA, it's hilarious watching these guys who spend all day looking down at their miniature phone screen and clicking away with their fingers take this simple little contraption and demonstrate that they can swing a little ball into a little cup held on the end of a stick.It's all solid wood construction, and the line is thick and sturdy as well.

I bought this for my friend in high school 5 years ago. We still like to play with it. Everyone who has ever used it really enjoyed their experience. The thing has a chip in it now but doesn't stop us from getting that ball in the cup. The ball has never been lost to this day after many uses because it is attached to the cup by a string. Best Christmas gift ever!
