Jesus-Centered Bible NLT, Turquoise Imitation Leather – September 1, 2015

I search for a Bible that would be easier for me to understand. I found most Bibles were difficult to read. I want to understand what l am reading. I want to learn the Bible not just read it.I happened to stumble across this one and it is absolutely perfect!The Bible itself is good quality and l love how it weaves Jesus in the books from the very beginning in a way l never noticed before. Your eyes will be opened right from the beginning. To be honest, I didn't want to put it down.I would recommend this Bible to others.Shipping was fast but l use Prime. It comes in a sturdy box and is suitable for gift giving.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, this Bible!!!Having the blue letter in the Old Testament is so comforting and surprising of ALL the prophecies pointing to JESUS.It's probably my favorite part and wish other translations included it too.For the first time I can't get enough of the Old Testament, especially Isaiah!Having the red letter in the New Testament shows again and again HE fulfilled His promises.I'm doing my best to mark them, ALL.The simple questions are perfect to remind us how involved JESUS is our everyday lives.Bought one for my 17 yr. old grandson, loved it so much, bought one for my 17 yr. old granddaughter.Waiting for her to visit, I started unwrapping the pages and highlighting favorite verses "for her".Decided to keep it and get her another one, (it was getting more and more highlighted with favorites).Then ordered another one for another granddaughter.Now I think my son-in-law would like it. I find myself thinking who wouldn't and I'm not waiting for Christmas, give it to them now!I enjoy collecting/comparing different Bible translations, and fancy this one the most.Would like the option of different colored covers, if not, no problem, both gray and turquoise are lovely.I'm so Grateful to all those who made such a beautiful tribute to JESUS.See you all in heaven, let's meet by the river with the SON!!

So complete newbie to well any of it, so forgive me if I upset anyone its not my intent. So trying not to get off track or explain why I decided to get a bible in the first place since I'm not a religious person nor have I ever been. But I felt I needed to educate myself an go from there. But I bought 2 of these bibles one for myself and one for my mother in law, who is a very religious women and also the kindest person I have ever met in my 29 years. And she is even impressed by this bible the authors or translation analysis team worked very well in trying to make this understandable, but also kept it as close as possible to the actual word from original text. Anyway this for me is well a beautiful book and what I needed if I'm to actually read an comprehend what i just read. Iv tried reading a page from the king James version I just couldn't it was well frustrating to me trying to read a kjv but that's me. So to me this is actually an amazing way to help newbies or be a pleasant suprise/gift for the most unshakable Christian. Those wanting to learn can understand this bible possibly better than other ones out there not to mention have awesome helpful hints an highlights to help understand if there was a reference to christ which they help point out like in the old testament which I wouldn't of know being new. But I have so much I wanna say but honestly if your looking for a bible or maybe something new like bring a freshness to your faith your routine of daily worship this whole Line is so great well to me it is an my mother in law was also very impressed an was very happy. I never thought I'd actually be one to promote a bible but seriously I can't believe how much I truely appreciate the whole line it's so helpful an educational glad I found it on amazon. Totally recomend it if you don't like it, I bet you could make a difference in someone's life by giving it as a gift or donating it.

This gives a whole new perspective when reading the Bible. My favorite parts are the "reframing Jesus" blocks that explain Jesus on a deeper level and gives cross references for that explanation and the "life's essential questions" that asks some tough questions and uses scripture to answer them. I love the cross references between the old and new testaments and how the blue letter print explains the reference then gives the new testament address to support that. The Jesus-centered reading plan gives one chapter to read each day that focuses on different aspects of Jesus' life for each month. For example, June is about how to have a new life in Jesus, and October studies the psalms the point directly to Jesus. It should be noted that this reading plan does not cover the entire Bible in a year. I have always read the NIV version, so the NLT is a nice change, and, like the NIV, is easy to read and absorb. I would recommend reading the preface material before jumping into the Bible reading. It explains the red letter Jesus names, the blue letter, the essential questions, the Jesus questions, etc. and also gives an introduction to reading the NLT. I have found some inconsistencies within the text (like verse numbers not being superscript) but nothing major, and certainly nothing that would make me regret purchasing and reading this Bible. I love the color of the cover and the feel. I regularly use a New Life Application Study Bible, which is bulky and heavy, so the lighter weight of this one is nice.

This Gem exceeded my expectations it's a easy to understand definitely expands your wisdom.

Wow! This is the most beautiful, innovative and comprehensive bible I have ever read. I am a new Christian and have just found my faith since leaving a new age pathway. Since the scripture is completely new to me, I love the way this beautiful book clearly highlights Christ throughout both the old and new testaments, with thought provoking dialogues throughout. I highly recommend this to anyone considering purchasing a copy just as I have recommended it to all of my friends. I love the turquoise synthetic leather cover and the silver guilding on the edges of the pages too! Just adds a touch of class.

I bought this bible for my husband for his birthday. It is a lovely bible, easy to hold and the print is not too small. I love the blue highlighted text every time Jesus is centred in scripture. Even though I already have a NLT version bible I would love a copy of my own.
