Like most agencies you need the RFID blocking to prevent information from being stolen but you also need the convenience of using one handed badging in and out. This actually works. Since most antennas are in the lower portion of the card, as soon as you squeeze the top it opens enough to read the badge. When inserted the ID is still exposed and slides into a frame with tabs. With a slight flex it can be removed but can't fall out of the holder even when running or in awkward positions. The different colored plastics work well for identifying different groups and are essentially unbreakable. The cord retractor has plenty of strength to pull the holder back but the cord seems a little thin and uncoated.

I wore this badge holder for about two years while doing IT work in sensitive areas. It held up well and had no issues performing as designed.

The badge holder itself is fine, just like any other of this style. The string on the lanyard is already fraying after a month of use. The clip on the lanyard doesn't fit right on the badge holder, just a little bit too big.

This clip holds my badge in place somewhat reliably and looks and feels fine. Same story with included lanyard. My RFID badge won't scan through the holder unless I hold the little clip at the top of the badge holder, and then it scans fine. I wear it every day.One drawback is that the holder doesn't click into the lanyard or the clip very securely so it gets knocked to the ground pretty easily. I'd say that happens more than once a month.

The plastic feels very weak not suited for blue collars who need it for working in more rugged areas but for someone with a white collar job this is perfect and great my only other critique is how the card/badgeholder slips onto the retractable holder it’s also made of poor plastic that will break on you and can often unhook itself if you actually move around while having it connected on you I find it all works better the high up on your person to keep it out of the way and easy usage than anywhere on your waist but the retractable holder does have great length to reach even from the waist

Lasted a month. Broke after regular use. The cost of the item does not reflect the quality. The part used to open and close the item fell off.

Works as advertised, no issues, would recommend.
