Unlike women, men's bellies aren't squishy soft or easy to tuck in. What flows over the belt is disgusting flab and men's girdles are useless. Shapewear doesn't suck it in very much. Womens shapewear is generally OK at best and rather useless at worst, (except for Miraclesuit). Buy a cheap faja instead of a "light" control sport short.Don't even bother looking for a cheap man girdle -- they are ridiculous!.You can buy a unisex waist trainer, heavy latex and all the hooks which show through your shirt. Underworks also has a man girdle which is pretty fantastic, but it costs over 50 bucks. The Spanx "Oncore" line will provide a unisex high waist profile which is quite satisfactory and won't show through. Buy online and you'll never have to make excuses to a cute sales girl in the lingerie section of a department store (like I used to do).I've been trying on and wearing shapewear for decades. Most women's shapewear is light and outrageously expensive, of course.It wasn't until recent years that affordable South American "fajas" came on the scene, on Amazon and Ebay, and showed American women what heavy 1950s-style girdles feel like, and the miracles they can do for women's figures.This review is about the Gotoly line of shapers, which are really serious shapers. The Gotoly long-leg thigh shaper is fantastic for women and has had some nice reviews on Youtube.I'm here for the Gotoly zipper short (above). This is the most amazing belly smoother I have ever tried -- and I have been trying shapewear for almost 40 years!It won't reduce your gut by a whole lot, but it will reduce it enough to be noticeable, and make you look normal instead of looking like a fat, beer-bellied freak. There's a zipper which shows through a polo shirt, but I don't care -- it looks better than a bunch of waist trainer girdle hooks, and you really can't tell for sure,and everyone probably knows I'm wearing a girdle anyway. With a regular button-down shirt you won't see anything.It's VERY firm control -- about like a waist trainer or a corset --but it's natural and comfortable all day.It's amazing -- your gut just disappears!!This Gotoly thing is fantastic and the best belly control garment on the market, for men or women. It REALLY sucks it in. It's also comfortable enough to wear all day. I highly recommend it. I bought three of them.

I love it, it pulls in your waist and does not roll down .I have brought 2 before the only problem I have is that the zip breaks on all pairs

Sucks in and smoothes out the stomach area but does not lift the butt at all. In fact it pushes it in to the point of no butt what so ever. I'm kind of small and was hoping to fit it and make it more bubbled.

I haven’t worn shape wear in years & years (I’m over 50) but recently decided to try again. I just had foot surgery from an injury and since the injury I have gained even more weight from not being able to move. I’m 5’10 and 230 now. MOST of my weight is in my Stomach.. This shaper does help smooth, lift alittle, pull my sides in, BUT my stomach still sticks out in the front like I’m pregnant!! IN MY CASE The front should be the back and the backside should be the front (SEE PIC) ;) LOL According to the size chart I am between a 2X-3X. So I ordered the 3X for comfort, I’m not used to wearing anything tight so I figured the right size is better.. I put it on while SITTING, buckled the hooks and zipped it VERY easily. No struggling at all which means I probably should go down).. It’s SUPER well made, Love the hooks under the zipper.. I wish the front tummy panel did more for my issues so I went ahead and ordered another one in (2X) to try a tighter fit.

I expected some struggle, but this was way too difficult to put on with very little return. The zipper is practically pointless. After struggling to get in using the zipper, I ended up just pulling it down to get out of it. I have a large belly that basically never went away after I was pregnant. So that was my main concern. I got the largest size they had and it just didn't do much. I will say that it seemed made well. I was sure the zipper or something was just going to bust at some point, but it did not. It did get stuck a few times on the fabric which was annoying. The bottom area felt pretty good. This was a miss for me.

I noticed a lot of reviews kept saying it runs small or it didn’t fit them. But if you measure yourself, and get your real size this will fit. I think most of those reviews were in denial of their size.I am 198lbs, 5ft3in, and I bought an XL. Fit perfectly. Goes all the way to where my bra ends and no rolls stick out through the top. At first I was worried it wouldn’t go up my legs but once on I was able to put it on no problem. I’m on a weight loss journey so I needed something to smooth me out and remind me to keep my posture during the day when I’m not working out. Zipper is a bit thick and can be seen, but it’s not an inconvenience for me since my clothes isn’t tight. The fabric is nice and doesn’t bother me.I will be buying more!

It seems nice and strong, but not for short people. Not sure if bigger sizes assumes your taller, but I am not. I am 4' 11". The bottom end was too long. I would need to take it in a lot to get the compression on my belly where I need it. And the elastic on the top makes it very uncomfortable. I understand and additional elastic at the top is to help prevent rolling, but not only is it extra tight but digs into your ribs and sides, especially when sitting or bending over. Would have been much better if they had skipped that.
