So far we really enjoy these! Came as expected compas works but needs a tiny roll around and a couple seconds to settle before it finds North.We will he testing out the product soon here as it's for our girls emergency kit.Only downside is we never recieved the information page! Only the "THANK YOU for buying our product" page and notbing was printed on the back and no other paper loose in the package.Hence the one thing the kids needed to use the product, the guide, wasn't there!

It works and can help if you are in a pinch and away from camp. It has a compartment that I was able to add extra tinder and fish hooks to. That being said the compass doesn't work well, it's not the easiest to open, the flint hurts to hold when trying to use, and the knife can easily dull especially when trying to use it for fire starting. I wouldnt recommend in substitution for normal standard size versions of equipment.

I have about 6 of these buckles. I have developed my own survival buckle and I have found this to be the best buckle on the market for the price. On one buckle the mirror fell out so inspect each buckle before use. This buckle offers more features than other buckles and with the storage compartment you can customize the buckle for your specific use.

The bracelet is good quality and the latching mechanism is nice to keep it closed. The description is incorrect though as it does not come with the fishing wire or hook. When the bracelet is unlatched it reveals a knife instead. Glad I bought this for myself for scout trips with my son as it would not be safe for him to wear. Other than that, everything is very nice and the compass addition is great for hiking and the whistle is very loud.

Cool Concept, but compass was already broken on arrival. Visible air bubble may have something to do with it.

All in all this is at a great affordable price for an emergency item that you can easily gift for any occasion. While it may not be “top of the line,” it works and we are overall satisfied with it. We like how it is adjustable so it can fit older kids and adults.For someone with arthritis or other health issues affecting the hand, I could see how it might be a little difficult to put on and lock but we do not have those issues. Nonetheless, it is adjustable so smaller people (like myself) can just slip it on if needed. However, we all found it super easy to turn the compass to lock.Details:• Fire starter works well/sparks• Knife is decent. It will cut and works in a pinch. The safety cap for it is just flimsy plastic but at least it’s something.• Signal mirror is super tiny so I’m not sure if it would be that useful.• Whistle: works and is super loud without even giving a full breath.• Compass is decent. A little off but better than nothing and gives you a really general direction.• Fishing line and hook: small but would work in a pinch (At least you’re not stuck trying w/dental floss and a line, which I’ve done lol)• Glass window breaker: Haven’t tried but it seems so tiny, so idk if it would really work.

I purchased this to have a back up emergency knife. The thing is sharp and functional, so for $6 each, we have back up emergency knives and are satisfied.I also purchased this to have a wearable emergency whistle. The whistle is very loud (even a half strength blow hurt my ears) and molded into the bracelet so we can't lose it as easily as a loose one. We are happy to have wearable emergency whistles.I did not purchase this to have a functional compass. My husband and I both thought that the compasses were off, but when compared to 3 others, they are accurate enough. We consider it a bonus to have a functional compass.I did not purchase it to have functional fishing line and a hook - but they both work. I have caught a fish with a hook and dental floss before, this would also be adequate as a last resort. We consider this a bonus.I was hoping to get a functional signal mirror, but alas the mirror is so tiny that I do not believe it will be useful at all. That was a bit of a disappointment.I did not purchase this to have a functional flint and steel. It's a good thing too, because I cannot get it to work. I have several other varieties, but this one is not working.

Not recommended - bracelet won't lock close as knife comes loose and is dangerous. Whistle doesn't work. There's a bubble in the compass. Cannot be relied on for anything let alone emergency situations in fact it is actually a dangerous product.
