Soft crinkle book with cute detachable animals
This Melissa and Doug soft crinkle book for 0+ is a great screenless/tech free option for littles. My son is globally delayed and typically would be considered too old for a toy like this and he finds it entertaining. Only one of the animals squeak thankfully, and the rest are the crinkle sound that babies love so much. We use the animals separate from the book or together to help his expressive language disorder. The pages and animals are unique in colors and shapes and it adds to the fun of the book. It does come with a nice travel cover which would make it great to keep it cleaner in a diaper bag or just general transporting. Overall I feel it is consistent with Melissa and Dougs quality and I would recommend it. *Also note yeh velcro for the animals on the page is nearly flat or flushed to the page it isn’t really scratchy and that is so helpful with the littles.

A Hit
My grand-daughter really liked this combo book/toy. She adores books and some of my favorite photos of her, she is looking at or trying to read a book. It makes my heart sing to see her with this appreciation for books at such a young age, just a tad over 18 months. Like all Melissa and Doug children's items, it is fun to look at, fun to play with and also helps a child develop their thinking process and matching ability.Thank you for the opportunity to try and review this product and for the many great toys you bring to market. Until I had my grand-baby on the way the only toys I recognized by name was Lego, Fisher-Price and Mattel. Now if I see that it is made by Melissa and Doug, I know it will be a good one and try to get it for my little 'princess' if possible.

Soft Book Teaches Basic Animals And Shapes Through Fun Interactive Play
Our kids love interactive books, and it’s nice to see one designed for early ages. Who Lives Here is too simple for our three year old, but she wanted to be the first to show her younger sister what the book is all about. Easy matching skills connect shapes printed on five stuffed animals to various pages having the same shapes. The felt-backed animals stick well to the little square dots on each page. Depending on age, putting the animals back in the book’s front pocket is as much fun as taking them out to play with or connect to various pages. This is a good take-along toy too—the book conveniently slips back inside a clear plastic tote. It stays clean during travels and keeps baby quietly occupied.

Animals are too thick for it to feel like a book
I usually like Melissa & Doug toys, but I wasn't impressed by this one. The animals are rather thick- more like mini-pillows than cloth book characters. I'd have preferred them either to be thinner or, since they are so overstuffed, more shaped to be more like miniature stuffed animals.Four of the animals have crinkly fabric inside them, and the leopard has a squeak toy in it. The pages are a little simplistic, but the book is intended to appeal to the very young.Children will still enjoy playing with the stuffed animals and matching them to their book homes. Parents will appreciate that the whole thing is also machine washable. An okay product but I expected a little more from the company.

Fun, bright, squeaky
Cute, fun fabric book for your little one that teaches about animals and shapes. The 5 stuffed animals fit inside the front clear pouch and can be taken out and placed on their matching page. The zebra likes rectangles, the leopard (who has a squeaky toy inside) likes circles, etc. The animals stick onto the velcro tab on the page. The last page shows all 5 animals with their favorite shapes. Animals are soft and squishy and brightly colored. This needs to be a special book that gets put up after reading with all the animals tucked back away or they will get lost and the book won't be nearly as fun.Great book to give as a gift!

Adorable! Fun book for imaginative play.
This adorable soft book with animals comes with it's own clear storage case and carrying bag. What could be cuter?!My toddler granddaughter loves this book. The animals store in the clear front pocket and attach to their own "homes" by a velcro square on each page. The animals are fun with the book and also fun for imaginative play separate from the book. Everything stores in the carrying case.Perfect quiet playtime toy for travel, airplane trips, church, etc.Cute enough to gift! Definitely recommend!

great for the diaper bag
This is a great little “activity” book for the youngest of kids. The bright colors and cute illustrations appeal to kids of all ages. The animals are soft and the perfect size for small hands. It is easy to attach them to the book for smaller kids. Bigger kids have a bit more of a challenge matching the patterns. Or sometimes my kids just play with the animals and the book is their scene, great for imaginative play. It is sturdy with good stitching. It’s also easy to throw in the washer or roll up and stick in the diaper bag.

Fun!
Like all Melissa and Doug toys, the quality here is exceptional. You get a bunch of cute stuffed animals marked with shapes and a book and you have to stick the animals according to the shapes. Its a fun activity but I wish the animals didn't live in human houses. They should have shown their own habitats, that would have been more educational. But this isn't too bad as all, its still a good shape exercise.
