The best for platinum, brass-free blonde!
Still the best toner out there! I use this regularly with my Color Charm Clear Liquid 20 Developer and it keeps my bleached platinum hair free of brass tones and keeps it a nice ash blonde. It's not harsh and it's easy to mix with other toners if you're doing a little hair science and are mixing colors for a certain tone. I use this by itself about once per 6 weeks and then use it mixed (50/50) with T14 in between if my hair just needs a little brightening rather than a fully ash-tone. This WILL give you a slightly grayish tone if you leave it on longer than 30 minutes, but I do this on purpose because the Grey washes out to a lovely pure platinum after maybe 1 to 2 washes. If you leave it on less time, it typically isn't grey....but I have a couple of stubborn spots that are slightly less platinum than the rest and I also use this on minimal root growth (without bleaching) for quick cover-up because it will turn naturally light brownish red hair to a dark golden blonde if put on fresh roots with no bleach. It's not optimal for longer roots, but definitely blends small amounts of regrowth quickly and easily. I recommend adding "red/gold corrector drops" if you have major areas that aren't truly "pastel yellow" after bleaching and/or start with the T10 to remove "orange" because this is NOT for removing orange and won't work. It's for pastel yellow after bleaching or naturally very light blonde hair.If your hair gets too ashy and you can't stand waiting a few days for it to fade, a quick fix is mixing a bit of 20 Developer with a bit of shampoo (cleansing shampoo), a bit of baking soda, and ash many freshly squeezed lemons as you can get. Mix it altogether and shampoo it into damp hair. Leave it sit for about 9 to 12 minutes (check frequently) or up to a full half hour if your hair is really stubborn. It'll leave the nice tone, but quickly get red of the extra-ash you may not have wanted.*Photos include my hair at the beach last week tied back (about 1 1/2 weeks after bleaching and toning), a photo from the day of bleaching and toning (was still a tad "yellow"), and a photo from the beach of my hair wet*

This is the best toner to bring back some ashy tones to brassy ...
This is the best toner to bring back some ashy tones to brassy highlights or dyed blonde hair. You MUST lift your hair (with bleach or a high lift color) high enough to level 8 OR HIGHER. Otherwise, you'll be damaging your hair with minimal effects (you'll still get some toning of level 7 hair, but it'll be so minute that it's not even worth it), and get no effects for level 6 or darker. Here is a quick review of hair levels (you can look for this online as well). The number is the 'level', followed by the hair color you're hoping to reach, and lastly by the contributing pigment (aka what your hair will actually look like after you bleach / lift and before you tone).10 - platinum blonde - pale yellow9 - very light blonde - yellow8 - light blonde - yellow-gold7 - medium blonde - gold6 - dark blonde - orange-gold5 - lightest brown - orange4 - light brown - red-orange3 - medium brown - red2 - dark brown - red-brown1 - black - dark red-brown(If this is unfamiliar to you, PLEASE google up hair swatches and levels before you use this product or bleach your hair.)You'll need to get your hair up to at least a yellow-gold color, and ideally a light to pale yellow color for this toner to work.If you're looking for dark blonde or light ashy brown hair, this is not the right toner! You'll have better luck making your own blue (for toning orange pigments) and purple (for toning golden pigments) toner. Joico Intensity Semi-Permanent Hair Color, Titanium, 4 Ounce is what you're looking for instead. Somegirljess has a great youtube video on this: just search for the video "HOW TO TONE BRASSY DARK HAIR".I hope this helps someone to avoid the same mistakes I made.FYI:- For bleaching / lifting / highlighting: Schwarzkopf Professional Blond Me Premium Lift 9 - 15.9 oz is the most gentle and effective one I've found by far- You obviously have to mix this with a developer. I use the Wella 20. You can get away with a 10 developer if you're already at a light enough pale yellow and don't want to damage your hair anymore. There is absolutely NO reason for anyone to use 30 or above developers for toning!!

Great toner! Product arrived earlier than expected!
It's been about 3 months since I've toned my hair. My hair is naturally black and very hard to bleach. I got my hair ombred a while back and am due for a second session with my stylist soon to get it to silvery/ashy. I started to notice that my hair has become a very unappealing orangey tone so decided to purchase the wella t18 toner. This product worked wonders for my very difficult hair!I've tried the conditioner and purple dye method and although it worked, it did not color correct my hair as well as the wella toned did. I highly recommend this product for color correction. The results will be even better if you have light blonde hair!I highly recommend buying from this seller because my product arrived earlier than expected AND you get two toners! What a steal!PS: you'll need to purchase a developer to use these toners. The ratio is 1 part toner to 2 parts developer. I used a 20 volume developer but you could also use a 10 volume developer. You don't have to get exact with the measurements btw! After dumping out the toner, I just used the empty bottle to measure the developer. Also, this stuff smells super strong! Open your windows or turn a fan on!

Maybe I got a Bad Batch?
The product is usually a deep purple, but both of these were a pale gold color once mixed. I was concerned, and even double checked the bottles labeling. Neither package changed my hair tone as well or as fast, as this product normally does. The second time I used this item (since didn't use it all at once), the product had changed color and was the deep purple I am accustomed too...why? I dunno know. It however, still did not work very well. I usually leave this on for 5mins max, but I did the full 20mins and there was little if any change besides my hair being dried out.
