This is a genius device that I use for ice fishing and outdoor games...you can very quickly steam up to 50 hot dogs at a time for tailgating and outdoor bbq's all on a coleman stove....love it....

No, food will not heat to top. Bear in mind, these are small containers. Also, company and I spoke for hours about an issue, in the end, they were sneaky about purchase. They really need to test their products before selling.
